Thanks - it would be one of the highest recorded sales for an F355 - as far as I know the highest for a ‘standard’ F355 in Australia.

Elliot showed the world the 355 is worthy of a spot in anyone’s Ferrari collection when one treats and restores her properly. The 355 was never perfect new, but we have collectively brought in new ideas over a few decades to make her better than new while still preserving the original look, feel, and intention. Elliot’s GTS lead the way in this direction and I’m not surprised collectors are knocking on his door for it. It would take years for any newcomer to achieve the same level of presentation, even if he bought a 2k mi car.

Thanks Ken, the F355 was definitely criminally undervalued when I entered the market and I still think they are good value for what they offer compared to their contemporaries like the 993 Turbo today.

I will still keep elevating the level of the F355 through my restoration projects for friends and clients. A fully sorted F355 is a special thing for sure.

While the exhaust was being worked on I took the time to refinish the exhaust heat shield to refresh it and get a uniform finish with the wrinkle something which wasn’t achieved by whoever painted it previously.

End result is much better and it’s all back together and looking sharp.

Absolutely love your work. Which paint did you actually use on the exhaust heat shield to make it correct?

It was VHT wrinkle black, but it is hard to get the finish consistent on such a large piece.
