That will be gone by the weekend or sooner, as well sorted as it is was thinking the price would be higher. GLWS
Great color combo! If anyone would rather have airbags I'll trade my dash and wheel plus cash I would say GLWS but at that price you don't need it.
Curious- is this a Euro/grey market car? I didn't realize the factory was doing inlaid fender shields back then- thought it started later in the production run, and of course all the Fiorano cars had them. This car looks to be a VERY nice example. I normally don't like to comment on pricing, but will here- this shouldn't last long at this price! It looks perfectly set up/fully sorted- you sure you want to sell it? No newer Ferrari has the same sounds/smaller dimension sports car personality...
I always thought that inlaid fender shields started in 98.But with ferrari anything can happen. Nice car.
That is a SHARP car. Very interested in the manual top conversion, seems a nice long term idea, didn't know that was possible.
I'm the one who did the video how to convert your top to manual step by step.Pm if you need to see it,i posted it up on Fchat.
I've seen a 1995 355 GTB for sale recently that had factory shields on it as well. I just assumed the seller had the fenders swapped for later model ones. The ad claimed the car had original paint but it looked like it had base clear so I was skeptical. GLWS
The shields themselves may be factory but I've never seen an option for them to be originally installed on any 355 before 1998.
Thank you everyone for the kind words about the car and the excellent questions asked. I will try to address the questions here. Vin # ZFFPR48A4S0103967 Clean Carfax The car is a US verision, sold new in Beverly Hills. The Fender Shields are OE factory for the F355, part numbers 64174200 & 64174300. They are not reproductions. The Fender Indents were done by Premier Motorsport Inc., here in SoCal. They are one of the 2-3 best Ferrari Paint/Collision shops in the country. They have the equipment to place Factory Indents in fenders that did not originally come with them. Premier has replicated Factory Indents for about all models of F-Cars. It is correct that Shields were not offered by the factory until 1998, but I always loved them and personally did not want to put non-Factory Shields without Fender Indents on my car. I wanted a 95 with Factory Shields & Indents. I personally did not care for the look of the stock OE airbag steering wheel. I eventually determined that I liked the OE Euro steering wheel the best and purchased one through Ricambi, (no longer available). After a time I decided that an OE Euro Dash with a glove box would look better than having the single Rt/side airbag. I was able to source a good Euro upper dash which I had recovered, prior to installation. All removed parts were subsequently sold as were my original wheels. The manual top conversion was addressed by tr512 in his post and I would very much encourage those interested, to check out his excellent video on U-Tube. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ijdng8r9Xw8 .
It should be mentioned that the higher quality reproduction shields (i-ventura, and Yoshield when he was still making/selling them) are virtually identical to the factory shields- I had the Yoshield on my 360 and now I-ventura on my F355- with the 360 I parked right next to a 360 with factory equipped shields- the difference of indentation was so hard to tell turning from one car to the next- 90% of Ferrari owners and 99% of non-Ferrari owners wouldn't know the difference. For this owner to go through the expense of having the factory shields applied to properly indented fenders by a top notch auto body shop (i.e. not cheap) speaks volumes to the care given the car. If I were in the market for a 355 spider, this would be the car to buy- sorted and a great price to boot. Hopefully an informed buyer purchase the car from F-chat!!
