1995 Ferrari 456GT. This 456 is an excellent driver and quite stunning in Blue Chiaro Metallic over cream, I just had this out for a 500 mile trip over the weekend and really enjoyed it. The car ran flawlessly and there is nothing like a Ferrari twelve with a real gearbox. While this car is great to drive, it has some needs and we have priced it accordingly. The paint shows well but has numerous minor flaws, I tried to photograph these. These would not be an issue for a normal car but any Ferrari owner will want to have them touched up. While I have pretty extensive records, I have nothing to show an in-date belt service. In all likelihood, this needs to be done. The car is due for a set of tires. A local viewing and inspection is welcome with appointment. We are happy to help buyers worldwide with shipping and freight logistics. 34k miles $69k

Nice car! You might get faster responses if you indicate "where" the car is, for local viewing. GLWS and all that!

So which weekend exactly was your 500 mile drive? September or March? Both?

You could at least update the text and pictures of your 6 month old ad......

Why would I go to the trouble of taking new photos, these are an accurate representation of the car. Can I help you with something else?

I'm a little confused, is this your personal car? Seemed like that from the ad, but the ebay seller appears to be a dealer. Also if the pics are from March how many miles are on the car now? Were the tires or belts replaced since then? Lastly could you confirm the location? The ebay ad says North Carolina, its got Georgia plates, but you said its in Texas.

I'm a dealer, we just relocated to Texas from NC. The car was purchased and driven from GA to NC. Miles are accurate, we have the car stored in our warehouse. It's due for a major service. I can be reached at 972 803 3048 to answer questions and/or schedule a viewing.

So it's been stored since it was driven from GA to TX with no driving or servicing since then? Would you be able to post the carfax and let us know when your purchase date was?

    Thanks!

We had it transported to TX, it's been started and moved around a bit but not much driving. I believe this cane in late in March. Vin is ZFFSP44AXS0100741 for carfax.

My recommendation would be to have the car inspected and serviced by a reputable local Dallas shop, perhaps even post the receipt of everything you have done, and provide the Carfax instead of just the VIN.

Eric, thanks for the advise. I'll try to consult you if I have any other questions.

As mentioned in our initial post, we are happy to facilitate an inspection at any of the Dallas area shops. Thanks.

We're have been in the middle of a big move and haven't done much marketing. It was also priced significantly higher. The next owner will have a few things to do but at this price should be very satisfied.

    To everyone:

The commentary on the seller's asking price has been deleted and the subsequent flame war has been cleaned up. Keep in mind, in addition to the specific Classified forum posting rules, the general F-Chat posting rules also apply here. As always, personal attacks, insults, and flame-baiting are uncalled for.

No relevant information was deleted in the clean-up, as the same information had already been posted (in an appropriate manner) by jimpo1 here . To recap: the text and photos in the original post were lifted directly from the seller's eBay listing, which originally ran back in March 2016. Naturally, being unaware of this, potential buyers will wrongly assume that the photos and information provided are current and that events described in the ad (a 500 mile weekend drive) just occurred. They aren't and it didn't.

    To the seller:

Users here are permitted to call sellers out for any inaccurate or misleading representations in their ads. The issue over your use of 6 month old text and photos without disclosure was appropriately raised by jimpo1. Feel free to admit to an oversight, explain the reasoning for your actions, or to simply disregard his post altogether, but do so in a manner that is within the bounds of the posting rules.

Fair enough. Photos are and text are several months old but accurately represent the car,
the add was cut and pasted from eBay. I've priced the car with the understanding that it needs a service. Interested parties can contact me directly for questions and/or to scheduled an independent inspection.

Is there a PPI report available and compression leak-down numbers? Are the windows leak proof when up? I assume it needs a belt service? Serious questions.

You can have a PPI done at any of the local Dallas area shops. Yes. The car is water tight, it's due for the major service.
