I cannot open it. Probably and hopefully a small electronic problem. Do you know where is it connected?

When you push the switch, can you hear anything clicking at the trunk?

I don't have any wiring diagrams for the 456GT/GTA and I'm not sure of the fuse. I have diagrams for the 456M, but this has a different fuse arrangement.

The 456M requires the ignition to be on. Is the 456GT the same?

    Does the manual release work?

Does the fuel lid opening button work?

Happened to my 456 too. Use a curved plastic trim removal tool and carefully insert it (from the outside, obviously) in the area where the latch is at the bottom center of the trunk lid. Leverage gently on it a few times from different angles while at the same time have someone operate the trunk release button, and eventually the trunk will pop open.

Unless your car is experiencing issues of an electrical nature (fuses, fuse board, etc.), the electrical plunger driven by the trunk latch button in the cabin becomes weak overtime and needs to be replaced.

No sound when I push it. But also if I click the button on its right the electric light turn on.
    The fuel button work well.
I didn’t try the manual button

Emergency pull cable behind drivers seat against passenger footwell just behind door. Looks like a guitar string with a loop on the end.

Similar one for gas cap up in trunk next to fill line

So it could still be an actuator, switch or power issue.

Unfortunately, that doesn't really give us any more information.

If you could open boot/trunk with the emergency pull cable, you may be able to test the actuator to see if it operates without any mechanical load on it. The actuator may be tired or the latches may need lubricating.

You may be able to interchange the wiring on the back of the switches to see if the switch itself is faulty. Interchange the wiring with a similar "momentary" type switch (not a latching type switch). Perhaps someone can give you some hints on how to remove the switch panel.

I found the cable, open the trunk manually. Thanks. I found the problem. A simple fuse. I have changed and now it is perfect. Thanks for the info.

Glad you got it sorted. Be wary of a blown fuse. It is usually a symptom of a Greater problem. Usually the load on the circuit is too high for some reason. If it blows again you know you have a problem.

probably it happened because the battery was not fully charged...during the winter time I have not used the car for 3-5 weeks and the battery went a little bit down...but I am checking a few things around... Thanks

The trunk button on my 456M will only open the trunk when the car is off. If the car is running, nothing happens when I press the Trunk button. Is this normal?

Sounds reasonable. You don't want to accidentally open the trunk when you are driving.

With Ferrari, no telling. On the 360, you have to have the ignition on to open the fuel door. On the 575, works fine off.
