So I have been debating this 355 GTS over the last couple of days: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=008&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=180126036220&rd=1,1 After doing some research it turns out this car was bought at a dealer auction last month for $54k: Seller is representing this car as dealer serviced in the last 5k miles in auction: "Always Dealer Maintained, Less Than 5k Miles Ago, A complete Engine Out 30k Belt Service +plus completed By A Authorized Ferrari Dealership And For A Priced Paid Of Just Under $9K." Does not mention service was done in August 2002 and is due for another 30k engine out service. Has it listed on his website for $69,900 and told me he will take $65k for it. I believe the fair value on this GTS is $60k with a clean PPI. It needs a 30k service, and there is no records of the valve guides being replaced so $10k to $20k worth of service is not out of the question. Worse case scenario, you buy a 1996 GTS with 35k miles for $65k, and in the end it costs you $85k. So you have to ask yourself, is it worth the risk at $65k? For me, NO!!!
