1996 f355 spyder for sale -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After a lot of soul searching I've decided to sell my f355 spider after all ( I love this car!), but my 05 360 Spider F1 hit Miller's floor today and I just can'tjustify keeping another car. Any serious interested parties can email me @ [email protected] Located in North Haven CT 1996 f355 spider, yellow/black, 6,200 miles. All services down by Miller. K40 radar, 15k belt service done 1.5 years ago, new rear tires with about 400 miles on them. Tools, service, records etc. Never driven Dec-March (can't stand those NE winters - too many rocks and stones) and stored in my heated & ac'd garage.
the spiders are still being built according to Miller and should wind down shortly. Sticker is sitting on my desk right now and serial number is 05. Coupes are 05 and should be spring-summer - no promise dates. Even if the spiders are announced "early" as in march-april we probably won't see to early 06 at the earliest, and probably not until spring. So even if I get an early one it would be late 06 and I didn't want to wait nearly 2 more years!
I have a 1996 355 spider that I have decided to sell as well (on Ferrari Ads today) and I see plenty of ads that say 15k belt service. My owners manual states that the 15k is basically fluids and a check over and the belt service is 30k. Where is all the connfusion with this service? Thanks
I just referred to it as the 15k service because my assumption, maybe wrong, is that the 15k belt service involved motor out belts and change all incidentals - gaskets, etc, which motor out. On my TR that was done after 5 years, and at 10 years they did the 30k which included belts, complete tune-up w/new caps, etc. More involved. Now my TR is going in for it's 3rd belt service in 15.5 years - but only has 11,000 miles. Not bad, 15G in belt services alone! That's why I referred to it as 15k which the more detailed service was the 30k.
Anyone in the market for a red/tan perfect spider with 8750 miles mine is now on Ferrari ads and is ready to roll. I would love to keep it but have two new cars on the way. Add # is 2662. Martin will be listing soon as I don't have the time to deal with the tire kickers. price is 89k. Bring your mechanic and if you are qualified, I would bet you would look no further. Thanks, Jeff
Bill- how much for the 355? Also, have the valve guides, exhaust headers and/or any other 355 glitches been addressed yet? Thanks!
Bill - 99k ? huh ? There are 1998's around for less with the same or less milege ? Good luck anyway ....
Haven't had any issues with headers, valve guides, etc. Maybe due to low mileage, haven't heard of truly signicant problems, though I do read posts here on it. Miller tells me that the valve guide issue was addressed in 96 or 97, no one knows for sure. This car has really been trouble free. Only non-schduled maintenance was a recall on the alarm, and a service bulletin for a bad ground attachement that I found out about the hard way. The check engine light registered it as a fault due to low voltage so I was afraid to drive until I got checked. As far as the 99k it is negotiable but it is in line with everything currently in the Ferrari Market Letter, only other 96's have signficantly more miles for not much less - 13k I believe for 95k; 23k for for 93k or so. 97's were all priced higher except those with significant miles. My 05 Spider will be delivered to my house tomorrow.
