Hello, This is my first post here.
Im working on a 1997 355 Spider. I found UV dye coming from the AC compressor case seal. Since Mitchell and AllData have no labor guides on Ferrari, Can anyone advise me on the removal process? I know how to discharge ac systems safely but I have been told anything belt driven on these cars requires engine removal.

If Im posting in the wrong area or if i missed the correct thread in my searching please redirect me.

    Thank you,
    JeffS

Usually you'll get a quicker answer by posting on the 348/355 forum or by starting a search there.

It seems it can be done, but I couldn't find a procedure.

There seems to be a belt tensioner bolt on the far right of the compressor in the photo (???)

No engine removal required. Look at the task at hand.. assess..and remove. It's actually a rather simple task.

This job is for a customer. If it were mine I would dive in and find out. But when someone else's money is involved I like to be more certain of the labor costs.
Thank you for the information, I will move forward with the job.
