    Does anyone have a suggestion for a shop that can rebuild the rack for the power steering ? Preferably in California ?

    I can recommend Adco here in Houston. Several of us have used them with success - they're old school, but they're good. http://www.adcopower.net/ and they don't charge an arm & a leg to rebuild the rack.

    Whoever you use, make sure they put the correct outer ends on the rack. Some shops have been known to force ends on that have imperial threads instead of metric, which ruins both ends.
