The C5 convertible made it's debut in 1998 and was chosen as the pace car for the Indy 500. Only 223 total made in Fairway Green of which 129 were domestic, 60 were convertible.

Run-Flat tires were standard on all cars and avoided having to carry a spare tire. The rear window in the new convertible is made of glass with a heater element for defrosting.

It also has an express down feature that automatically opens the tonneau cover and lowers the windows a small amount with the press of a button. New optional "Active Handling System" (AHS) applies brakes individually when the car detects that it is sliding.

This new system uses yaw and pitch sensors to determine how the car is moving and can correct for understeer and oversteer to keep the car from going out of control.

Corvettes equipped with AHS also have the "Competitive Mode", this mode turns off the traction control but leaves the AHS active for Gymkhana and Autocross competition. Dual airbags are standard safety equipment on C5.

This car is real head turner and been pampered. It was my daily driver before my car accident in my Testarossa which caused my back injury. Now, I drive my truck for easy in and out and rarely get into this beauty.

She has been extremely reliable, responsive and very fast. Sorry guys, it takes a 430 to shake her down and even then, it is a close call.

She has 139,800 miles and still going strong and she fools many with her looks. Her miles are undetectable based on her condition unless you look at the odometer.

I know how to take good care of my cars... I did have the transmission rebuilt within last 12 months and new rag top was installed in the last 2 years or so. I also had the driver window cable replaced and left front traction sensor replaced 2 years ago.

She still has original spark plugs, wires... and I don't see a need to replace them. Not a single miss.

She has drilled rotors, newer tires and extremely clean original paint with very few rock chips and minor hidden scratches.

The interior is original and well cared, I am still using the original matts.

Trouble issues: CD player died years ago, AC/ digital reader light comes and goes. No issues with AC and in fact it was recently checked and charged.

If you are looking for something unique and like Corvettes, you can have her for only $25,000. Just remember, she is 1 of 60 convertibles made in Fairway Green. Check out the registery Total 1998 Corvette Production Numbers

    Thank you for interest.

Very nice car. I would wager less than half of the 70 built (domestic and import) had black interiors and black tops. All of the ones I've seen had the light oak interior and top. I used to own a 98 convertible in triple black. The current owner has over 150K miles on it and it still runs strong. I've been a Vette owner since 1985 and currently have a LeMans blue 2006 convertible. I just traded my 2013 427 convertible for a 2007 F430 coupe. Best of luck with the sale.

Thats a very nice car you have. The KBB value for that car is around 12-15,000 dollars for a car with that mileage. It is a beautiful color, but those miles kind of hurt the value a lot. Good luck with the sale, hope it finds a good home.

Regretfully the yellow is next but not until the Vette is gone. I just had IMS replaced and required engine out at 3K

Thank you Bill... I really like the black top and interior. We shall see if she gets traction here. I suspect that she will be good for countless miles based on her current performance.

One can kill a car with 15,000 miles...:)

100,000 miles is average these days and that puts her under 10,000 miles per year which is fantastic. Her being 1 of 60 is not computed on KKB. Viewed in person, she puts other Vettes with 40,000 miles to shame...

Trust me, I am an expert pampering cars so that they can hide their age... :)

I already had one offer for $17,500 and I said no very quickly.
