Well, that's why we are not car dealers.

When people purchase "commodity' cars- not collectibles- from owners, they expect to pay wholesale or BELOW.

I'm sure my local Fcar dealer could get $65 for this car easily- they sold a 355 for $80K last year!

But for sale by owner... Even a super clean car like this with low miles, Tubi, ALL the goodies... is a low to mid $50s car... IN JANUARY.

I have purchased a car EVERY January for the past 5 years- Cause I always can find some guy who has received a ton of lowball offers and I'm $1000 higher.

    Different story in June.

As we all know it is difficult to sell used cars since we don't have the store front and can't offer financing. I fully expect it will take as long as a year (or even longer) to sell my car. There will be somebody out there that realizes a well sorted car and it shouldn't matter if it is winter or summer. I've been on both sides of the Ferrari sales transaction and patience is the key here. I'm not at all motivated to sell since I don't have another car in mind, really don't even have the time to look for something different, and including whether or not I will be buying another "fun car". I spend 50% of the year outside the US working so buying another car to sit in the garage is almost like not owning a car since I'm not there to really enjoy it.

At the end of the day somebody will be getting a very nice car by purchasing mine. Between now and then I'm sure I'll be dealing with low ball offers and tire kickers but that is all part of the fun.
