Hi I am experiencing intermittent firing on the left bank on plugs 5&6. Every other port seems to be firing ok. Doesn't sound so go and it's Down on overall power and doesn't change when warmed up. Replaced the plugs but no change. This happen all of a sudden in between start ups about a week apart. Could this be an issue with the distributor panel that the plugs go to? Any other ideas? Thanks

Shorted out plug wire. One will kill two, and then the whole bank.

with the motor running, move the wires with a wooden stick

Thx. Not sure I'm clear on moving the wires with a wooden stick? Do you mean buy the distributor panel? What would cause them to short? If they are bad do I just go buy new ones?

I think what he means is to move the wires for 5 and 6 around with a wooden stick to see if the misfiring goes away. If those are bad, then you will need to replace the whole set. They are more expensive than other wires. A new Kingsborne set runs about $400.

Thx for clarifying. What I did is pull the wires from the valley in the valve cover and seperated them but no change. Where can I buy the kingborne wires? Are they the same size as the originals?
