I recently got this F355 from BaT. It was previously sold here, googling the vin will bring up the prior listing.

    https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1998-ferrari-f355-spider-43/

I've been trying to enjoy it for a while now. I even started a thread in the 348/355 section trying to understand what I was missing.

    It just isn't for me.

I've got $93k into it. I'd like to sell if for that amount.

Clean Carfax per BaT. Title is sitting in my desk at home. Ready to make this a simple transaction.

That is a quick turn-around. Have you had any issues with it or take it for service and get a "surprise?"

No, no issues at all. It does have the check engine light on related to the Tubi headers and exhaust. But runs well and sounds great. Like I said, I just don't love it.
Edited to attach the check engine light codes from a reader

Nothing quite as dapper as a black and tan. Just beautiful, sorry to hear you didn't enjoy it. Hopefully finds a new home quickly.

Glws sorry to hear you didn’t like it. I had the same feeling when I bought my 360. Stick with it it tho and I’m going to be buried in that car. Find the right one and drive the daylights out of it.

It happens.. some cars dont jive with expectations.. imo 355s are about the last “pretty” f car made before everything had to look goofy aggressive - so enjoy it for that not performance really.

I'm in the Dayton area. Yes, everything is exactly as shown in the BaT auction listing. I've driven it enough to use just 3/4 tank of gas. It's stayed in a climate controlled garage otherwise.

I also wanted to add this as to why I'm selling it:
It was just as advertised on BaT, actually in better shape than I expected. It's a nice car but one of the biggest things is the exhaust/headers are too loud, I actually find my ears hurting after driving it more than 30mins. I also like to fly under the radar for most things in life and I didn't realize how many people look at a Ferrari. I don't like attention that much.

Sorry to hear you don't love it. My Spider 6-Speed F355 (Sebring Blue+Blue) took some getting used to. Bought it in 2019 very cheap and took me a while to love it. Yes, it is sensory overload, especially after adding a race exhaust. Yes, it gets attention even here in LA (Beverly Hills area) and I don't like attention but got used to it.

My $0.02 is to give it a few months. These are amazing visceral cars and sooo beautiful especially not in red (IMHO). Drive it this summer and give it a chance. It was my 2nd exotic and I have many cars and it is one of my favorites!

Went back and looked at the BaT listing pictures. OMG, it is sooo beautiful. IMO you got a good one. If I didn't have mine, I would definitely buy it.

Would you provide the assembly number please? It’s on a plaque in the engine bay next to the left rear strut. Thank you

I took this video of the engine compartment previously but don't see the driver's side shown much in the video.

I have to say as beautiful and great a car it is...
I was disappointed too with my 96, mainly from it being such a peaky engine..you must keep the rpm's up... all over the spectrum to get any satisfying performance..the low end is non existent..I prefer the torque to be down low and shift early..
    Beautiful car..GLWS

I'm not trying to talk badly about the car; a lot of people love the 355 and I can see why.

One of my biggest issues is the loudness of the car. At 39, I already have hearing issues. I started mowing lawns well before I could drive (without hearing protection) and flying piston airplanes now doesn't help me at all.

I had a friend in the car business and his sales people always said, there is an a$$ for every seat. This 355 with Tubi's just isn't for my butt.

You can put a quieter exhaust on it. Sell the aftermarket exhaust.

Do you still have this car? Do you know if the valve guides have been replaced at any point?

    Yes, I still have it.

It's going into the local independent shop a week from Monday to see if they can get the check engine lights to stay off. They're related to the catalytic converters so I have my doubts with the Tubi exhaust. I'll see if they can ascertain if the guides have been done since I don't know.
