After seeing Mitchell Le perform a full service on someone’s 355, I decided to move forward in bringing my car to him. It was definitely a good move on my end. There were so many miscellaneous issues that were wrong with the car that he duly pointed out. After having removed the engine with a detailed inspection, he aggregated a thorough parts list. Here are some pics that I posted.

Mitch has indeed reduced my stress level of owning this 355; having armed me with much more insight of how these things behave when not running properly. Bottom Line… YELCAB did an outstanding job regarding my 50K Mile Engine Out service. Thanks again Mitch for all your help, Mik Anderson

I think Mitch is one of the best contributing members we have.

PS, what's under the covers in front of the house?

No wonder. That last picture looks like "Mitch" is conjoined twins at the head. 2 heads are better than one. No? :)

I can't agree with the first comment. I am not that good.
As for what is under the cover: Red 89-328, Yellow 94-348 Challenge, and on the other side of the drive way which you can't see, a Blue 96-F355, with its Porsche adopted brother 05-911GT3.

    Mitchell... Lift question.

I have a four post lift and my garage depth is shallow and width is narrow. It appears as if my lift configuration is almost identical to yours.

Do you somehow get the car forward on the lift and back in garage after after you've removed the engine?

    If so, how?

    Thank you

    Good post.

Its nice to have a lift for those who can. If you are not able to have a lift you can remove the engine with out it. Here's what you need

Harbor freight vehicle ramps for the front wheels. This raises the front of the vehicle considerably when the rear is lifted, the front bumper does not hit the floor.
Harbor freight furniture dollies, two is enough. place them under the engine cradle with pieces of 2x4s on them, remove the wheels, let the back end rest on the dollies.
    Disconnect all you need to.
Raise the rear end from the sides with floor jacks and the drivetrain will slide right out.
I have done it and it works.

I don't contribute too much but appreciate everyone else' since we all learn a lot.

Anyone try (and succeed) the engine out with a scissor lift? Possible?

Yes, there are several threads on that, I read up on it before buying mine. I have done allot of maintenance on mine and access is excellent and it retracts flush with the floor.
