    I think a bad clutch so soon is definitely a red flag. My 1999 355 F1 GTS has 18K+ miles on the original clutch and pump, and is still running fine... actually seems to improve with more frequent driving.

    Assuming everything is kosher, I think upper 80's would be about right for this car.

    I'm not sure what everyone's harping about re: F1 clutch/pump. I replaced my clutch at 27k miles because the car was in the shop getting other work done, so it was convenient. Still had a bit of life in it, and I drive the heck out of the car. As for the pump, I've been on here for 5 or 6 years and have only heard of one guy's F1 pump going bad on his 355. I think people just latched onto it because the dealer wanted to charge him $16k for the pump, even though it can be had for about $3k from other sources. The only thing I'd have done with the car in question is a major service right away and swap out the headers while the motor is out, cuz those WILL crack eventually.
