I just noticed that my 1999 360 doesn't have the rain gutters in the engine compartment, the panels are just flat. I searched and every car I've seen has these rain gutters. Any explanation why mine wouldn't? Thanks.

Ferrari didn't add them until later years. The early cars didn't have them. I believe it was only after customers complained about the rear window steaming up from water dripping on the headers that they were added to help control that.

If your referring to the lip on drip panels, good question. My '99 had them and like you I've never seen one w/o.

I searched for other 99's on ebay, and all but one of them had the gutters. Really weird that two of the same model year car would be different, but hey, it's Ferrari.

Ray is correct, the 1999 car you have must be one of the earlier ones.

I have seen a few cars without those rain channels in the design and does cause rain water hits the hot manifolds and steams up the back window.

There really is NOTHING to worry about, just fit a challenge grille if you already havent and the problem is much lessened or live with it.

It's not a problem at all, just curious and thought I'd ask. I already have a challenge grill. Thanks for your replies guys.
