Hello, I am new to Ferrarichat in addition a new owner. I have recently purchased a 1999 456m GTA. The stock stereo did not work, it will come on, but just noise from the rear speaker. I read the Blaupunkt Toronto 420bt was a direct replacement " plug and play". The unit fit in, and the Ferrari plugs fit directly in the back. Same problem as stock. Powers up no sound. In addition, the new radio acts funny. Hard to control and inconsistent. Leading me to believe not only do I have a problem somewhere else in the system ( car side) I probably have a control or power cable crossed. Can anyone help me identify the 456's wires and harnesss ? Or has anyone else made the same swap? Last, In the manual I see the head unit, antenna box, speakers and CD changer. Am i missing anything? There is no factory amp, correct?

Also, i understand ferrari used single din becker units on later models. If anyone can point out a Ferrari labeled single din I could install, that would be awesome. Thank you

The best one for your application is the Becker BE6105 which you can find on eBay for around $500.00, Don't pay more than that. The BE43XX series will also work but the BE6105 is newer and better.

The Ferrari part number is #217283, sometimes they are listed with that number instead of the Becker model number.

Be sure you get the code with it but if you can't there are online code providers.

Thank you very much Ferraridriver, the BE6105 is essentially what I have with the car. Id like to modernize at the same time staying with the Ferrari name tag, or at worst the single din and the Blaupunkt. Im now assuming both radios I have are good and there is a problem somewhere else in the system

I did the same thing as you, replaced the Becker 6105 with a Blaupunkt Toronto, I'm not really happy with it but it has USB and an IPOD interface so I'll live with it. I am keeping the 6105 though.

I found this site. I see they can add bluetooth music streaming to the 6105. And they offer repair. I will keep you updated. I am still in need of a wiring schematic for the ferrari plugs. I need to learn where my problem is

I'm aware of that site, their Bluetooth streaming is only audio, the Toronto will show the track info.

There are adapters for Becker/Ipod, that play audio and charge but no interface on head unit.

I removed my CD changer for more trunk room to carry golf bags and stuff. Don't miss it at all.

I don't believe a schematic exists, maybe someone else can help.

I have a 1999 Becker stereo from my 550. It is the same as the 456M stereo I had in the 456M too. 400 bucks!

Is your 456 a true 1DIN unit or just the faceplate style.

If true 1DIN you may be able to use the Ferrari labeled Clarion flip up unit. If you want to go non oem I have an extra 1DIN flip up pioneer avh7500bt I pulled from my 575 I'd let go cheap (I upgraded to newer model).
