    Gents;

    After driving the big Ferrari parade in Calgary and sitting all day in the really hot sun, my car has developed an "issue" at startup. It was very hot that day (all my readings were normal while driving) and when I started the car to drive home, it turned over weakly, until it caught - Check OK light came on, off I went.

    Thinking maybe battery was weak, I turned off master power and put on the battery maintainer. Didn't drive for a week.

    Went to start this morning and with the car in gear (yes, clutch depressed!), I got click-click-click (not like starter click, but electronic) with "Check Engine" and most dashboard lights flashing in time with the clicking. Tried this a couple times, same result. Took car out of gear, clutch in, turned over (weakly at first) and then started. Check OK light came on. Started it several times and car still behaved that way. Battery is only a year old, was on maintainer through last winter.

    Just tried it again and with car in gear, clutch depressed, first time was clicking, second time car started but lots of things came across the information "screen" (gas, FCS, didn't see everything).

    Any thoughts? Turned over weakly but fired up.

    thanks,

    Freddie

    I'm no motorhead, but I'm guessing there is either a bad cell or short in the battery or the battery is being drained by a grounded wire somewhere. I'd have the battery checked first before going through the electrical system.

    Need a new Battery for sure. I just went through the same thing two weeks ago. Got a new Battery and it now fires up great.
