Hi Everyone, I am a new Ferrari Owner and there is a problem with my car that is driving me crazy!

First of all, I can only roll up or down the windows with a door open. This is horrible when I'm doing 85mph on the highway and I have to open a door to adjust the window.

Secondly - I just lost power to my dome light, central locks, and my alarm system all at the same time. Now i can't use my keyless entry otherwise it sets off the alarm, i can't centrally lock both doors, so i have to unlock the doors manually with the key one door at a time.

Anyone have any idea what this could be?!? It's driving me crazy. Thanks.

    Bobby

first check your fuses under the front hood on the drivers side under removable trim panel.

I think you have a dead relay for that many things not to work. The windows are part of it. They get power from an alternate source on a timer when the door is opened so they can be operated without the key.

I had the opposite problem with my windows. Would only work with the door closed. Found the problem was with the door to body electrical connector that had broken wires. Re-worked the wiring and no mo probs.

Just got done checking all of the fuses in the front panel. everyone thing checked out okay. Could there be another fuse box for me to check? I went to have an emmission done today and there is no power in the adapter that the diagnostic machine plugs into.

    Thanks agian

    Relays????

You do not have a fuse problem.

    Check the relays.

.....and by "check" he means undo the passenger footwell, and unplug /replug every square black box you can get your hands on.

You might as well sniff them too, if any of the little black boxes smell like a campfire, then you are zeroing in on your problem.

In the footwell the bottom right relay should be the "Circuts energized by ignition key". Try switching that one with another with the same part number.

Looking at the "Circuts energized by ignition key" in the owners manual, all of those items listed work just fine. it's my central door locking system that's gone, my dome light is gone, I can't use my alarm pad to lock and unlock the doors, and my clock is also dead now. My windows were screwed up before any of this other stuff died on me.

Is there another fuse box besides the one on top of the front left tire?

Do not place a great deal of faith in those lists in the owners manual. It is not a very good source.

Alright i got it! It was fuse #29 that was blown down on the passenger side. this fixed the dome light, central locks, power to the diagnostic adapter where the emission maching gets hooked into. thanks for your help everyone!

My windows are still screwed though!! I can only open when the doors are open!

Glad to hear it was just a fuse.... I had my driver's window stop working the day. Took the door panel off and inspected the two motor wires. Cleaned them up, applyed some Stabilant to them and plugged them back together--All works fine....
