Last week I had the chance to take photos of a beautiful 1999 Ferrari 360 Modena. Let me know what you think about my photos. http://bit.ly/b8fx8y Any advice or comments on how to improve my photography is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Wow, those are stunning pictures! I love how you make the color pop. What camera(s) and equipment do you use?

I'm trying to work on my photography, and I got a Canon EOS Rebel T1i last November. I'm trying to build up my portfolio by getting some photoshoots, so far 5 Diablo 6.0s, a Murcielago, and now a 360 Spider and an E46 M3.

I used my Canon 40D and a Canon 17.55 2.8 lens. The parking garage shots I used a Bogen 055XPROB tripod and a Photix Plato wireless remote for the longer exposures. I made sure the IS was turned off to prevent any shake from the IS system. And for the outside shots I used a Hoya HD circular polarizer filter. The polarizer comes in handy to prevent the sky from being over exposed and unwanted reflections.

And for the post production work I used Adobe Lightroom to tweak the exposure, contrast, and saturation.

If any ferrari guys in san diego want photos taken, hit me up :) I'd love to add more Ferraris to my portfolio as well.

In my opinion, its the composition thats important. But it doesnt hurt to have a nice lens as well.

Nice pics, especially the lighting on those indoor shots.

Just fyi, I didn't click on the link when I first saw it as it looks like one of those spam sites I get emailed every week.

Great job - colors really pop on my monitor.
My only suggestion is to work on the composition a bit more, the lines on the pavement and the poles in the background take away from the car. Try to find a couple "go to" locations for future shoots in case the place you are meeting isnt great. if you have one, bring a long lens and try using it from back a ways.

Thanks for the advice... I had to work around my buddy's video shoot. So where ever the car was parked thats what I had to work with. So I had no control over where the vehicle was placed... Those pavement lines are annoying because the driver didn't park the vehicle properly.Yeah I totally the poles and everything. But next time if I have to shoot a car it has to be totally seperate from the video shoot.

Do you think 70-200 F4 lens would work well or would a prime lens work better?
