Faster than I can type the title of this thread...the car sold (or at least the listing came down...and it was put up just this morning). Price seems quite reasonable assuming the car checks out to be as described.

Looks nice from the description and the pictures. Apparently the seller priced it way under market at $80k if it sold in a matter of hours.

Just like the spiders sell in a matter of hours at $80k. Right? RIGHT? Oh, what is the use. The nay sayers only listen to themselves anyways and they don't effect the market. Hot air doesn't buy or sell cars.

Good cars will sell incredibly quick. If you see a car that has been listed for a long time, there are either issues with the car or seller, or both... The F355 Berliners and GTS are in hot demand and prices continue to rise. People need to pick one up before they are priced out...

Buyers should be working behind the scenes to find their cars before they are listed.

+1 to both posts. If seller and car look and sound good over the internet/phone put a deposit down immediately. These cars might be worth a lot of money in the next year or two, and a lot of really smart car guys/flippers know this. Of course, they might be back to 2008 prices in a matter of weeks so wear your gambling gloves.

Wish I had an extra $200k back then, with a functioning crystal ball in the cupboard. I remember good-looking serviced driver gated B's going for $35k, and REALLY nice cars selling for $50-55k. Should have stretched for a nice Challenge.

There is no way the 355 is going to depreciate from here on out barring any major economic turmoil.

The parts value of some cars is too close to their selling prices.
