Just spoted this on Autotrader - dont know how to do the link thing. Its a RHD 1999 manual with 21,000miles, once owned by Eddie Jordan. Asking £57,995 could probably get it for £55,000 cash! Now thats a bargain - should make anyone whos paid £70K feel sick and foolish. There is currently 162 360s for sale on autotrader at this moment in time (both RHD & LHD)! How many did they make?

I guess the arrival of the 430 has put the downward pressure on 360 prices.
I for one would also be interested to know how many 360's were built.
Is there a possibility that 355's & 360's end up at similar money?

A little way to go yet though, the cheapest 355 I have seen was around 36k but it would take a brave man to buy at that price...

Overall 328's appear to have held up pricewise better than many over the years IMO.

I think in a few years the 328's and 355's will be worth more than their direct replacements simply because of the way they look....similar to the way 308 gtb/s's command a higher price than the gt4's and mondials

Actually, the 50k mile '94 GTB that sold for £36k was as honest a 355 as you're ever likely to see. I know the owner. It had been been well maintained and cared for and he was happy to move the car on for that money.
As for 360 prices, i think they still have some way to fall. Yes, we will soon see 360/355s trading parity, IMHO.
BTW, another pathetic trolling attempt by thread starter to provoke aggro.

Well why don't you get rid of the little oik then? Or are we keeping him for his slight amusement value?

It's just a thread about 360 depreciation, we've had lots of them before.

I've had a word with Andrew about his previous posts & asked him to tone it down a bit,
I don't think that banning him is necessary at the moment given the relatively small amount of troll incitement in this thread compared to some of the threads that have been allowed before.

I'm sure had Tony really wanted Ufo to be banned he'd have contacted Rob, Wax, Wayne or myself off line

well said Andrewg - I think Tonyh has been influenced by the "dark side"! I suggest he keeps his private vendetta off line for the good of the whole forum. If he has a problem with me he should PM the mods or RL

Why do you need to make comments like "should make anyone whos paid £70K feel sick and foolish" ? What value does it add ?

Apologies if the values of 360s are falling - hate to dissappoint Tonyh but its not my fault!! I also dont understand why owners of 360s would have a problem with threads which discuss this reality - surely they realised that these cars would depreciate one day. As long as they are enjoying them, why should it matter. Afterall, what makes this a popular subject is that 360 ownership could become reality for a large number of enthusiasts. Returning to the subject matter, does anyone know why this ex Eddie Jordan 360 is so cheap?

Steve I didnt say 360s are crap - just a little expensive for now. When they are under £50K they will be wonderful! You may even be tempted to buy one!

I think you'll find the car you are referring to is cheap due to the colour - it is metallic red, not rosso red... who wants a metallic red Ferrari?? - and also due to the time of year. Having spoken to a few dealers (both franchised and specialist) this is traditionally a slow period for sales of exotics, things will pick up in the spring. It isn't just 360's that are around at good prices if you look at other sports cars you'll see a simmilar trend just now.

Having bought a 360 new 14 months ago I knew that depreciation was a significant part of the deal. I know the trade and retail price of my car now and know that a private deal would get me something between if I was a seller. I value my car in my mind at trade price so that anything eventually received above is a pleasant suprise. Taking the cost price and todays trade price the depreciation is almost exactly on line with my thoughts at the time of purchase which was based upon £10k immediately and £10k per annum thereafter, so about about £23k is bang on according to the guides. On the other hand the enjoyment I have derived from owning my car has been well in excess of my expectations, thanks, in the main to this site, and pressumably ongoing, to the new site.

Therefore, the depreciation suffered is just a cost to be paid, and one that I am happy to pay. I understand that others may not be willing to pay that cost but to suggest I should be feeling "sick and foolish" is missing the point.

I don't own a 360 so couldn't give a money's about depreciation on that model. It will, in fact, help me buy a CS before long. Then i'll care ;) The more enthusiasts that can afford a Ferrari the better. You never know, even you might be in one soon if you can get a hairdresser to buy your M3 .

UFO, No offense mate but you talk a lot of bollox.

Ferraris are supercars. BMW M3's are nice sports cars but are not in the same league as ferraris porsches and lambos.

You have been asked 100 times to post a pic of your imaginary car but a camera cant take a pic of something that doesnt exist.
