thanks tony what time do i have to be there is it morning as the poor old car will be tired after the north west ride out on the sunday
Sometimes this site is fun but at other times it seems to be frequented by boring moaning old farts. Having been to FOC track days before being a f-car owner soi can understand why non f-car owners want to attend. Not every one can afford an f-car but remain to be fans. Others through thier desire to be owners, join our ranks through attending FOC events and seeing the cars up close. I have attended many events such as Goodwood, Silverstone, Le Mans, Brands and various european GP's. I can state for the record my car has never been damaged in any way. Infact all i have experienced is people who respect and admire our cars. We are not part of some eliteist club, in most cases we have had to work hard to achieve our goal of ownership and i for one derive a lot of pleasure in watching people admire my car and letting the younger ones sit in it and even taking them round the block. Todays admiring audience in some cases will become tommorows owners, so lets stop being self-centred boring old farts and get on with the enjoyment of ownership. Regards Stewart

3hr 48 min. Its A little slower than I expected. I was on for 3h30 but mistimed my lucozade intake and "hit the wall" @ mile 23. My INITIAL splits were (48 -10km, 1h44 -half dist, 2h09 16miles, 2H37- 20miles). all the above was about 8min per mile, on target for 3:30. Unfortunatly the last 3 miles slipped to nearly 13min miles ! It was tough but WHAT AN EXPERIENCE Just the support from the crowds, the motivation from the street bands and the words of encouragement from guys running next to you... unbelievable. I was also stunned as I spent most of the marathon following a 70 yr old woman half my size and at the last sprint I was passed by two guys of around 65 yrs of age ... WOW
Philip Watched some of the marathon on the telly this morning. You (and indeed anyone who participates) are a double-hard ba5tard with chips (sorry about the language, but I was moved to swearing)!!! Nuff respec. Seeya tomorrow
Cheers Stig No worries with the langage...mine was defo much worse this morning. See ya tomorrow. Philip
And you still have the energy to get on teh computer and type away - for gawd's sake don't tell me you are also working!! Take a break! Will call you tomorrow re any possible rendez-vous.
Philip well done on the marathon you guys all do a nice thing for the charitys, nice one, cheers Dale.
No work today thankfully I'm feeling pretty good actually. Nothing hurting much so far. I hope I don't wake up stiff as a board in the morning :0 Hopefully see you tomorrow. Cheers philip
Cheers Dale. I don't know what happenend this year but I seem to be doing quite a bit of charity stuff ! I am really happy with this however as I know that from me running the marathon one kid will get a motorized chair and that must be life changing for him/her. I look forward to the post marathon party where the charity brings some fo the kids with their new "cars" to say thank you. Cheers Philip
I've just read this thread with interest, seems there are a few that perhaps ( as above ) should be driving a lexus...or should that be ' Lexi '...
