You're making it sound like you are traveling to the end of the earth. I have 40,000 miles on my 95 and I am not afraid to drive any distance. It's a modern car like any other. Just drive it!

Hey Phil - will you be around the Saturday after Thanksgiving (the 24th). Fancy a drive up to San Jose to the Santana Row meet?

I see you have a GTV as your avatar. I'm a fellow Alfa owner, as well as a F355 owner. Would love to meet and chat, PM me.

you guys sure are fortunate with US fuel prices. A $30 splurge at Shell got us from Santa Monica to The Wynn, LV.

    Hey Ni Zam:

Thanks for the invite. I'm actually driving back down to LA on Saturday. I am up in the Bay area a couple of times a year so next time I'm up there I'll give you a shout...would love to check out some of the cars at Santana Row.

Yes had a 1974 GTV for a couple of years--one of my favorite cars and I regret selling her. I drove her to NYC to LA in 2001 and it was probably one of the best road trips I had, such a great little car.

The F355 does not have a spare tire?? Wow. I wonder why not since other Ferrari models do.

I agree with the fire extinguisher. I keep one in my car behind the drivers seat mostly for when I am driving the car hard or am at track events.

I checked the weather, looks clear for next weekend so far. Im driving from Boston to Washington DC and considering driving the 355. Looks like I;ll be doing some shopping this week for supplies to bring along with me.

    So I gather....
    fuses
    duct tape
    zip ties
    AAA card
    TOW HOOK
    maybe a small fire extinguisher
    engine oil
    gear box oil
