Did anyone watch this? that F430GT sounded soooooooooo...........ooooooohh. Sorry, got carried away. <Dream sequence on>One day the GT4 will sound like that<Dream sequence off> Also, if anyone did manage to see it, there was an overtaking manouver on the Panoz, on a flat out right hander. Nice grip level that 430 has.
FIA GT doesn't start until this weekend Ants, have you been playing with the flux capacitor on the 512 again? What circuit was it? If it was Monza you saw round 1 of the International GT Open, if it was Magny Cours that was round 2 of the same series. Istanbul would've been round 1 of the Le Mans Series (formerly Le Mans Endurance Series). British GT has a 430 also, that was at Oulton Park on the Easter weekend.
It was Istanbul. It had the latest version of the Pescarolo, and the latest Creation car bodywork I would say it's this years Leman series. Ok maybe it's the Leman series.
Easy to tell the difference - FIA GT has no prototypes, LMS/LMES does FIA GT opening round is at Silverstone this weekend, and the Spa 1000km LMS race is the following weekend
We must get you to copy some for us sometime. All I need is the time to sit and watch it...I assume you've got it downloadable Mike?
But of course Dingo, email me on [email protected] and I'll hook you up with an FTP account when I get home, if you can spare the quota or get free WAIX
Thanks! Email sent. No problem with qouta, I only use half of what I'm allocated a month anyway. I get the feeling I'll be home sick either tomorrow or Friday anyway so this will give me something to do.
The normal capture guy is Dutch, and they've changed from Motors TV (or Eurosport? I forget) to another channel that only does Dutch commentary Hopefully someone in the UK will have it though.
Me too Watch the new Top Gear or round one of LMES (bollocks to calling it LMS) or one of the International GT Open races whilst you're waiting
Watching it with Dutch commentary would add a whole new dimension I think...So, new TG is out then - I must get madam to log on tonight so that we can check it out. Got to watch a sample DVD of highlights from the 1970 ATCC tonight too, and must get around to watching F1 from Imola. Getting boring already now that the red cars are winning again...
So I guess I can skip the "OMG OMG OMG new TG is up" email then? Hold off on the F1 for a day or so and I'll have the proper ITV version up if you want - qualifying is there already
Theoretically there should be highlights (not the full race) with English commentary from Motors TV sometime this week...
Great, I was watching last years final round to warm me up for this one - thanks! No record, post whores like scud and stephens have done "better".
LMES round two from Spa was run on the weekend just gone, it can now be found in the usual place (it's getting on for 2GB mind you)
Was that at the top of Eau Rouge? I have a few still pics of that if so (I haven't watched the race yet so I don't know if that's the one or not), should anyone be interested
Yep, thats the one. A 430 GT loses the whole front end up to the screen, and Allans Porsche gets a hole punched in the side that you can pass a football through.
FF's post in the 360GT thread reminded me, there's a 25 minute highlights package of the Silverstone round of FIA GT3 (cars involved right now are Ferrari, Lambo, Aston, Maserati, Porsche, Ascari, Corvette and Viper) in the usual place. Just don't read the other thread if you don't wanna know who won The voiceover at the start says it's a "series for non-professional drivers", I'm not sure what A.Simonsen is supposed to be then Maybe it's supposed to be "unprofessional drivers" and so he had to show up drunk and late, then call everyone in the team a wanker to be allowed to enter or something
