My 2008 f430 spider is due for its 1st service, I called the ferrari dealerships around me, one of them quoted me $1500 while the other quoted me $1850. I then called Euginio's ferrari service but he is booked for the year, so he gave me another guy's number in La habra (concours auto repair) and the guy quoted me $350 . Is he missing anything?

It would be best to compare EXACTLY what each is offering for this service.
The 'lowball' guy is very likely NOT correct - probably just an oil change.
Just ask for details from the 3 'bidders' - but I'm always wary of a stupid-low
    bid on ANYTHING.

    Good luck.

Service prices seem to be all over the place. Here are some quotes I received..

$850 for the annual - oil/filter change, brake fluid change.
    - This seems high. What could this service actually take, 3 hours at the most? At $150/hour, that's $450 in labor. I'm thinking it's only a hundred bucks in oil plus an oil filter, brake fluid and some incidentals...maybe $150 total. Where's the extra $250??

$2200 for the two year service - all fluids changed plus some other stuff (he didn't go into detail).
    - It's hard to believe there's a $1350 difference between the two services. All that money to change the rest of the fluids and maybe the air filters?? Unless there's more to it, it seems very expensive.

Look, I know Ferrari dealers have to make some extra bucks on service. Compared to regular car dealers, they don't sell or service as many cars - and we are talking about a special car with special needs - but these prices seem like more than a modest gouge. Yeah, the cars are expensive and the service is a small percentage of the car's cost, but that doesn't mean paying more than you should doesn't rub you the wrong way.

Does Ferrari need to do the service to keep the warranty valid? Just curious.

warranty can only be declined if no proof of service or wrong fluids used.

The guy has 26 years of experience and only does ferraris. He's going to do fluid change, safety check, suspension tightening, and fix the wind deflector. Is there anything more I should tell him to do that the dealership would have done? BTW the car is also scheduled to get some campaigns and a recall done at the dealership next week.

At Ferrari of Denver, I paid about $400. for 1st and 3rd year service and about $1100. for 2nd and 4th. Many dealers are gouging on annual service. I mean, we are talking oil and brake fluid plus some inspections. How much should that cost?
