    I've owned 4 Ferraris and 1 Lambo in the last 5 years and none of them ever got the amount of attention from cops that my orange Range Rover Sport gets. I've had it for 6 months and got 2 speeding tickets in it, plus my brother got a ticket in it for running a red light last month.

    The 1st one was for doing 13 over in a 45. I had just gotten off the freeway and after doing 70 mph for 30 minutes, it's easy to go over 45 without realizing it. The cop was a POS from the first second. Through my trainer, who is friends with a cop friend of his, I found out that he was pissed at me for several things... 1) I didn't pull over right away (I was waiting for the first driveway/street/etc... on my right so I didn't stop in the middle of the busy street we were on). 2) By the way I said "thanks officer", which he thought I was being sarcastic about, and 3) by me driving off too soon after he walked back to his car. Apparently that's bad etiquette. Sounds more to me like he broke a nail or was on the rag. F***in sissy.

    The 2nd of the 2 tickets was 14 over on the freeway and I was in a center lane, in between many other cars on each side of me. I literally just sped up for 5 seconds to get over & get off on my exit. That's all it took for him to nab with his laser.

    Now off to the search feature to find out which radar detector I need to buy. I've seen threads before and there always seems to be one specific one that everybody recommends. Anybody know offhand which one that is? Thx in advance.

    There was a thread a while back with some videos where someone shot the V1 and escort with different laser guns and only the V1 picked up all of them.

    on number 1, I had the EXACT thing happen, infact is was literly 200 ft from the busiest intersection in the state and I even told him thats why I didnt stop on the road (pulled over into a bank parking lot) and it saved him from someone plowing into him coming over the hill. He didnt care. As soon as he got out out of the car he started his crying about it. If it ever happens again tell him how EVERYTIME theres a guy on the news arrested for pretending to be a cop with the fake car, markings, lights, badge ect the police spokesman ALWAYS comes on and says that if you have anydoubt for your safety ALWAYS drive to a safe place with people around, Im sure he'll come around. My cop told me he should give me a ticket for evaiding, pshh. Next time if they even biitch to me Ill tellhim about the spokesman as well as Illbe filing a complaint later that day against him :)...Ill see how that goes over :p

    on 2 and 3, you allready got the ticket, right?? so him being pissed wouldnt matter. Just show up for th ecourt date, they normally dont show :)

    btw yellow and orange are the two colors that most attract the eye, hence your bad luck in getting noticed...I know all too well

    last on the radar detector, V1 all the way, a search will eaisly comfirm this. Since I got on I havent had any speeding tickets, and thats saying aloooooooot for me :D....saves my butt on a daily bases. After a few weeks you'll easily know whats cop radar and whats useless alerts, if not just re-program it
