Alfredo de la Maria of Uruguay is considered one of the finest motorsport artists in the world. His original paintings adorn the walls of private collections and museums. Alfredo's impressionist style is unique. He has a great feel for capturing the atmosphere of a specific moment in time through his use paintbrush storkes which convey both light, speed and emotion.

His original paintings typically fetching $15 000 - $50 000. We have some in stock, but what we are offering today are limited edition canvas giclees of his work. For those of you not familiar with giclees, they are an expensive way of reproducing an original while maintaining the depth and feel of each brush stroke. In other words, they are three dimensional copies of an original painting that look like originals themselves.

"Monaco Magic II" (1957) - A limited edition giclee of an original oil painting of the 1957 Monaco GP. Shown here is Fangio in the winning Maserati 250F chased by Moss in the Vanwall and Hawthorn in the Ferrari, as well as Collins in the Ferrari & Gregory in the Maserati. (32x38" + 2" border)
US$1695 *Please note original painting sold for US$45 000

"Monaco Magic" (2001) - An original giclee on canvas showing Schumacher in the F2001 at Monaco. Edition of 100 (35x31") US$1695 *Email for larger image. Original painting sold for US$26 000

Alfredo's work is featured in serious car collections and museums like the Blackhawk in Danville, CA. I have several of his originals in stock and a variety of prints. He has an incredible feel for speed and light.
