Getting ready to do the engine out service and just realized how inexpensive 2-post lifts are. Anyone have a preference on which lift to purchase?

I prefer bend-pak, asymmetrical. Slightly more expensive than the overseas units but much more reliable. You can also order them with low profile lift arms which helps a lot with sports cars.

I do not know how to copy another old thread into this one..........

However, there is a thread " Look what I have bought" written by the undersigned where there are some photos of my lift.

It is another type like a scissors. It works for me.

Had the gearbox out last winter and the engine out this winter.

Takes less place when you do not use it.

    Good luck !

    Thanks,

I may go with the sissor lift approach. I have room for a 2-post, but the posts will be in the way all the time when I am not using the lift. The Sissor lift is a little cheaper too.

    Thanks, Dave

there is a portable solution for a 2 post lift from Dannmar, I think it is the Maxjax. But, after considering the many issues involved, I went with a 8000lb Panthers 4 post.

I just looked up the max jax lift, that is cool as heck, but priced like it too. I may very well consider that lift! Thanks, Dave
