Hello, im new to this forum, and hopefully a new Ferrari owner. So i have found a 360 F1 2000 for 44,500 Euro, it have done 41,000 km. Its like this i been contacting severel Ferrari-workshop to find out what it cost to run a Ferrari 360 every year. i have a question (maybe only swedish owners should answear this) But would 20,000 euro be enough? i mean i get if a transmision, or the engine breaks down im totald. the info i got, was around 3,000 - 4,000 Euro a year plus insurense 3,000 euro. thats around 7,000 euro. Whats your calculation, what do you pay every year? Best regards, Chris PS. im not sure if this is the right section, so forgive me for that. and there is probobly a few threads like this, but i couldnt find
Routine maintenance shouldn't cost you more than a few hundred euro p.a. for fluid changes etc. Every third year the timing belts (and generally tensioner pulleys) ought to be replaced. This is likely to cost you an extra 1500~3000 Eur depending on your local labour rates. So, no, unless you have component failures, breakdowns etc you shouldn't need anything like 20k p.a. to run a 360. Obviously it depends hugely on mileage, use, condition of car etc. My experience of a 2000 car with 42k miles when I got it 3.5 years ago, 53k now has been good with nothing but routine maintenance notwithstanding plenty of track time. Mine is a manual and had a clutch replaced not long before I purchased. F1 is generally a bit heavier on clutch use and "can" also present other problems due to the additional complexity of F1 over manual. You pays your money and takes your chances! Tyres, brakes, other, all dependent on level and type of use, the more you use it the more it will cost to maintain.
Hej Cristopher! M.v.h. Stefan To you english speaking, exuse me for using swedish. Image Unavailable, Please Login

är de Grigio Titanio? tycker att den har ett litet inslag a blått mvh ------------------ Translate to english: @ stnilsson I hoped to find a Swedish Ferrari-driver would be here Yes I think the same as you, to take home from Italy, Germany, France, panels found, for example, a red 360 in italy for 32.000 eur, they are not even 300,000 Swedish kronor FERRARI 360 Modena F1 scarichi Sprint Auto usata - In vendita Perugia but I just do not know if I can live with the red details (maybe you can find new in polished steel or carbon fiber) for insurance, so I read that some guy huh 24 years paid 20.000, with the requirement that he would instalera a tracking transmitter. which I think is incredible for such a car Now is I reltivt young, new driver's license in the world if I'll be completely honest I have a SAAB 900 right now that 450 € / year but I thought, what about that getting the car into the car in Sweden? o Registration? PS. sleek Ferrari you have, what kind of paint? is it Grigio Titanio? think that it has a small element of a blue Sincerely, @E60 M5 sorry didnt see your message untill i post my comment
People cant use their native tongue to more accurately communicate? What BS. I thought this was an international forum. Are you afraid they will talk about you? Maybe you should learn their language.
20k euro sounds very heavy for a 360 unless your country has some crazy property and road taxes and the car is a basket case. Some guy last week mentioned he is buying a 458 spider new in Portugal and the numbers made my nose bleed compared to the "lower" but high U.S. prices. Another guy on the 458 forum gave some numbers for a new car in Singapore and it was crazy so maybe 20k euros is realistic. In the U.S. I'd say no.
Mork Mork Mork. (sorry, swedish muppets reference) Major repairs are rare for the 360.. you'll very rarely need 20k expenses unless its been really abused or a basket case..
It seems that you do not include projected depreciation in your calculation. You should. It is a major fraction of the total cost of owning the vehicle. It is necessarily only an estimate, and it will depend on future demand for the car, how well it is maintained etc.
20.000 euros every year is out of question. You may get though a high mileage 360 and spend between 10 and 20.000 for initial repairs. Keep in mind that a 10+ old Ferrari may need more than fluids and belts: -clutch or even tranny replacement -ball joints or even wishbone replacement -front, rear tie rod ends -Cats -Headers And other cheper parts...
Yeah ofcourse, but i was told to take the car im gonna by to a specialist or a Ferrari garage before i buy the , for minimal expenses Oh and another question i realy want an answear to is, this people saying that Ferrari's catch on fire+ i mean whats the deal with that? how do i prevent the car to catch fire? i mean, i wanna travel true Europe, so thats the last thing i want to happen
A fallacy promoted mostly on Jalopnik by jealous people. The fire risk comes from two places.. well three: 1: F1 lines and F1 fluid could potentially spray out of a line failed and fall on the hot exhaust, causing a fire. Never EVER heard of this happening. If you let your lines get that bad and done replace them.. you're an idiot and deserve to be in an old Chevy rusted pickup truck. 2: The fuel lines from the pump to the fuel rail. (#13 and #14 here:Ferrari Parts, Ferrari Accessories, and Ferrari Performance Products - Ricambi America, Inc.) The rubber could degrade from the heat and cause these to leak high pressure fuel that could drip on the headers and catch fire. If the outer rubber is shrinking on the tube replace it. Visual inspection is easy and quick. Replace if in doubt. Again, fires not common at all. 3: The Plastic fuel pumps and roll over valves. (#1, #2, #7 and #9 in the above reference and two others depending on year) Some never see any problems with these, but I will personally attest that the plastic may crack with fuel or fuel vapor leaking out. The big concern is is that the fuel pump plastic at the nipple where the fuel lines above connect may crack. This will send alot of fuel into the engine compartment that can catch fire. They will often leak gradually before any failure.. you smell fuel/fuel vapor and replace them. Again, not an issue unless they go too far. Fires are relatively rare as I've read and usually occur in a crash when the fuel tanks are ruptured..
I think what Robert was trying to communicate is that it would be helpful for posters to provide a concurrent translation to a "common" language, in this case English given the demographics of the board, in the non-regional areas of the forum. Certainly users are welcome to converse in their native language. At the same time, it would broaden their audience and improve the quantity and quality of contributions if a translation were readily available. Given my background and travels, I am often a party to multi-lingual conversations. In those situations, I am always appreciative of a concurrent translation of the conversation that is taking place or will try to provide translations for members of my party that are not fluent in the language being used. It just seems like common courtesy. Also modern tools, such as translate.google.com, make it much easier to provide simultaneous text, whenever multi-lingual conversations occur. No need to learn 10-30 languages that might get used for occasional posts here and there.
Hi Again Cristopher. I`ll stick to english this time. Had a look at the 360 in the ad and I must say that it did not look ok to me. Also the gearbox trouble, that could be very costly a second hand gearbox cost about 10000$ or 70000skr used on Ebay. The cost to register the car in Sweden is very low if you import it from EU about 400$ or 3500skr the big cost for me was the transport from Italy to Sweden had to pay 2100$ or 16000skr for an open transport. Only advise on insurance is to shop around and if possible tempt them to move all your insurances, home and health to them. It worked for me. If you need more advice feel free to pm me.
