Looking for a used enclosed trailer with a premium escape door...this is a door that swings upward allowing drivers door to fully open when inside trailer.

Please PM me if you know or have one for sale.
    Thank You in advance.

I'm also in the market for the same thing. Inventory is tight out there. Do you mind sharing any details about your purchase success?

You are correct..inventory is limited and finding this type of trailer on the used market is rare...I know this first hand since I have ALLOT of time searching.
You can find them used/new with premium door if shopped hard for around 22-26K most likely bare bones unfinished interior all aluminum..and can go as high as 40K plus.
The premium escape door I think is a must for our low profile F cars....I cant imagine climbing out of this car with the limited side walls...the trailer I acquired already has a winch which is the icing on the cake....this will eliminate clutch wear if utilized.
I would be happy to post pictures if this thread is not closed after I pick it up.
    Good Luck.!!!

For what it’s worth the escape door isn’t all that critical depending on setup. The trailer my transporter currently uses is a featherlight and he’s got a remote controlled winch mounted at the front to pull the car in without a driver, then it gets ratcheted down with straps. He uses this for both my street cars and race cars and it works perfectly… and without needing to climb in and out of the car risking damage. I’m hunting for a similar setup to use at our place up north for the race seasons. Just another thing to consider for you guys still on the hunt.

I've had plenty of featherlites and they are great. Wouldn't not own an open featherlite.

And if I was doing a goose neck enclosed I'd do a feather light.

Bumper pull I'd buy the ATC with a premium escape door. Had a raven built with 16 inch on center and had wood floors which I was against..m but then I epoxied the floor and it was absolutely killer. Amazing trailer.

The escape door is where it is at. Absolutely love it. They do the escape door better than anyone with the removable fender. Also had the 405 which I insisted on with the aluminum.floor and walls... Save your money. What I thought I needed I didn't.

FYI, I have a 20' Jimglo on order. Lead time is 6-8 months for any enclosed trailer from them. I think the other companies are a bit faster but not much.

Long story short: expect to pay new prices on used "premium" trailers (Jimglo, ATC, etc) if you need it anytime soon.

I get what you’re saying and I’d only do an enclosed featherlight too. But I do like the idea of one manning the load/unload of these things, particularly race cars which are a ***** to get in and out of with the cage and stuff. You can pull the door off the 458/488s but earlier cars aren’t so simple. The escape door does have its place, but I wouldn’t rule out a good trailer with a winch myself.

This one has the escape plus man door. Gooseneck though which is big to store when not in use.

I'm locking this per our rules but it's a good topic - someone may want to start a thread in Silver.
