So I was vacuuming my car when I decided for the first time in 2 years to pull the mats out. I realize these little things have some weight to them. Then I realized there's 2 set's of mats on each side. Then I was on a mission to find more useless weight. I don't use the tools, the mat's, car cover, convertible cover. I weight it on my scale and lost 20 1/2 pounds with out a penny spent. I should have weighed the stock manifolds vs my stebro's, and stock muffler vs my tubi.

It's kinda funny you had two sets of mats and didn't even know it. ;)

I pulled a Sony 10 disc CD changer, 800 watt amplifier, and about 900 feet (well, it seemed like that much) of wire out of the front trunk of my spider. 30 pounds of custom stereo installation yanked out in about an hour. Replaced the head unit with a mech-less (SD card carries all the music files) one and used a tiny (maybe 3 pounds and the size of a small book) Rockford Fosgate amp to power the sub.

The owner's manual says that it's important to use the leather cover for the top, whenever it's down. I wonder what bad-thing is supposed to happen. (never tried driving without it myself) I imagine, it's mainly to keep the hinges from rattling.

The top can catch wind and flip up, so the factory is warning you to escape liability. I always fastened the top cover on my 348 Spider when driving topless. Makes the linces of the car look better anyway. Plus you don't look like such a lazy azz.

I rarely have passengers. I just have to make sure I dont get caught in the rain. Which is rare in sunny socal. I can always get the carpet detailed if it gets to it. No biggie. As for the top, im to lazy never used it unless I was going somewhere special.

Same here but mine had 2 fat azz amps and crossovers cd changer & other junk. Lost about 45 pounds. Im still trying to figure out what the tubi stage 3 muffler weighs. I have the stock muffler which I will weigh as soon as day light comes.

On mine the snap-on cover stops the folded top from rattling, especially the windshield latches.
