2002 360 Currently has a Capristo Exhaust and stock headers/cats. Putting in Tubi Headers soon and MASE tune. Thinking of going with Tubi 200 Cell Sport cats to complete the system for better flow. Anyone have either Tubi or Fabspeed 200 Cell cats? Just how much louder is the car? I like the sound now so this is just something I'm thinking about.
It will definitely be louder. Maybe 15%. My old 360 had catless euro headers and Tube rear. It was fine. I added 200 cell sports cats and it was fine, everyone liked it.
If you're tuning the car why even bother with cats? They're going to turn off the catalyst monitoring anyway.
It's the capristo that's making it loud, running catless with a different muffler would tame the noise and retain the performance gained from losing the cats.
term "loudness" is relative to many factors such as what your muffler is, temperature, etc. The 200 cell cats are a bit louder than stock but add tremendously to low end torque I would recommend highly I would say with a Capristo you will be a good bit "louder" than with OEM cats. I have noticed with Fabspeed headers and the Fabspeed 200 cell cats the car really moves but presently I have the OEM muffler garbage which I will replace very soon.
