    Hello:

I am preparing for the arrival of my 2000 Modena. This is my first Ferrari, has 1730 miles and all services to date including the 15K. Any advice to a rookie regarding what I should buy beforehand (i.e. a battery charger, etc.)? Also, I live in NJ and the weather can get rather cold in the winter and early spring months, anything I should be concerned about regarding cold weather? Of course, my car will be garaged.

    Thanks!

    K.

This will more apply to next winter, but one FYI on the 360 (and 430) is that when the weather gets below zero, the door handles freeze and you can't close the doors properly.

Don't be scared to drive in the cold, just stay away from the sub-zero....

Good Tip is do do your majors in the winter, most dealerships and shops will offer service discounts.

Congrats on the new 360!! Good to see another F-Car coming to NJ.

Like others have said, have all your maintenance done in the offseason(Winter). The biggest advice I can offer you is to make sure your dealer doesn't detail the exterior of the car. Most do a terrible job and actually harm the clear, creating swirls and holograms. When you get the car, polish it yourself and put a nice sealant or wax on top.

    Nick

P.S. One more piece of advice, have fun with the car!!!

get the car into one of the dealerships or shops like Classic Coach. You'll get set up with a Service Manager that will outline what needs to be done, per X miles, per X year, etc. Your best bet without the headaches. You'll love the car, I picked one up a few months ago. Enjoy it!

Listen to Noah -- he knows EVERYTHING that can go wrong with a 360 -- from freezing handles to flaming engines :D

(What's up Noah! Hope all's well.)

Oh and congrats on the 360 Kenny1022! Enjoy her in good health!

I agree I was a little worried when I saw the mileage on the car. I took it for a test drive and everything seemed up to par (with the little info I know). I bought it from a reputable seller (Cavallino Motors, Miami FL) so hopefully it will exceed all my expectations.

Thanks again for all the kind words. Look forward to seeing you guys in the near future.

    Ken
