I see a number of people posting for vehicle history and thought I'd do the same! I purchased an Italy delivered 2000 360 Spider last year with a US VIN#ZFFYT53B000122216. I bought it from the third owner in Atlanta who kept and provided comprehensive service records for the time he owned it as well as forwarding me some of the records from the previous owner. There are a few documentation items I'd love to recover for car as well as some other answers to service questions I like to get from the original owner. Does anyone have any info to help me in my search? Thanks, John
John- That is a European VIN (B in last letter before all numbers). If she were US spec, she would have an A as the last letter. As a gray market 360, she retains her original, European VIN. DOT and EPA require whoever "remanufactured" her to put labels on her identifying who did the work. Try going through them to find out who the importer of record was. Matthias Urban's book has her as a red/tan Euro Spider, which sounds about right.
Thanks Taz. Urban's book is accurate: red/tan Euro Spider with a black leather dashboard with (oddly?) per the factory build records black floor mats.
