I am interested in finding out current pricing on 2001-2004 Porsche Turbo salvage car pricing.
I have the opportunity to buy one that was hit kind of hard but repaired. Any one here know of any recent sales.

    Thanks

Think twice before you buy! Plenty of clear title cars out there for sale and the discount is not worth the headache, unless you want a track car. Just my $.02.

I may be able to get the car real cheap. The car was hit and the guys did a great job putting it back together. The current owner wants to get rid of it but does not want to sell it and get in a law suite on down the line. I figure I would drive it until it dies then part it. Has 20,000 miles on it. Just trying to put a price on it.

I would drive it.. and see if it drives straight...

Take it to a body shop and make sure the frame is straight..

If it is 2/3 of retail..

    If not 1/2 of retail..so 20k...

Having said that, you do not want to take a unstraight porsche turbo to its limits and have something fall off...

Where was it hit? Does is have any frame damage? Were all of the damaged components replaced or repaired?

I'd be most worried most about the quality of repair. Anything can be fixed right, but some places cut corners when it comes to doing repairs and even service. I'd approach with caution, but assuming that it checks out you'll probably have yourself a great drivers car at the price.

My friends body shop did the work and they do excellent work. It did take a hit. The owner wants to get rid of it and wants some one to buy it that knows what he is getting. The owner does not want to sell the car and 6 months latter get sued by some one that gets in a wreck with the car.

    Airbags deploy?

If so did they buy new?

Or just replace from the junk yard?

Folks sell salvage cars all of the time...even dealers ;).

Sounds like you may be able to take advantage of a sellers overbloated fears and get a car really cheap...

I would definitely drive it at 18k.

You can always sell it to someone who wants a track car down the line and get your money out of it
