Yesterday, my rear left rear shock hydro locked (probably due to an accumulator failure) and blew the side of the shock out. I have pulled both shocks, ordered new accumulators and am seeking help/advice on the shocks.
    1. New shocks seem to only be sold in pairs and the price is all over the map from roughly $1000 each to $1800 each. Anyone know of better deals?
    2. Anyone know of a used one for sale?
    3. Anyone know of other places that can rebuild the shocks? They are not difficult to remove so I don't mind doing it ever few years. (I have reached out to Delta Vee for options)

Thanks to everyone in advance for help and suggestions,
    Stranded in Texas,
    Olin

Couple of current threads on this. Delta Vee is somewhere around 12 weeks right now to start work once they receive them. I’m in the que and it’s coming up on three months.

Bilstien uk will rebuild for a fraction of the cost. They won’t replace the actuator seal so if that’s leaking....

Another dude will rent you his new shocks while you wait for your rebuilds.

If it were me I would try to find a used shock and get it rebuilt by bilstien if possible. Next I would buy one shock if I could and have the other one rebuilt.

Consider replacing all your bushings and rebuilding the fronts as well.

I've got a spare lying around somewhere. I'll see if I can find it. You'd want to have it re-sealed though as I recall it was leaking.
