nice car, GLWS
If that scares anyone, they should not consider a Ferrari. It is a 2001, 15 years old: In general (not saying it applies to this particular car, but it could apply to a 2001): Annual service at about $1k is $15k, major every 5 years at about $5k (wild approximation), is $10k-$15k, 1-2 sets of tires due to age $1k-$2k... Maybe some sticky or leather shrinkage to address... Surely, some other little things needed attention along the way. See how quickly it adds up...?
You prefer $200k depreciation in 7 years and 6800mi not counting maintenance?? Buy a Toyota. Pretty car. I had an even later 550, there were 575 showcars with lower number than mine. Almost identical, I've regretted trading it for years. I've been vacillating on this car for a bit.
That's a function of it's age, and actually in my mind, would figure into the equity of the car. As some may know, a car that was NOT cared for, you would spend that money anyway after purchase, to bring services current. very nice car. I think the issue with the general public is that they have not been in the "talking my book" discussion on the V12 6 speeds that saw them escalate "overnight" by 200%. They were down below $100k at one point of the depreciation curve, and 6 speed mania has not yet made it to MSNs webpage. This is a nice special example, and you SHOULD wait for the right buyer, unless you are in hurry. You are getting close to the dealer offers at this point. But they will carry the car too, if they get too far above market.
The money spent was strictly spent for routine maintenance and upkeep, with the exception of a small leak in the water pump that was repaired by Ferrari dealer, nothing has ever broken on this car and does not have the sticky's. I don't know about you, but i sure think the fact that money was spent to maintain it all these years is certainly makes it a far better car than one that has been neglected and not had this level of care, I wouldn't consider purchasing a car of this stature that has not had this level of care
Price drop. $187,900 open to a realistic offer, please have the funds ready to go and please don't make an offer your not capable of completing the transaction. I think this car is a tremendous value for the money, let's do some business.
Beautiful 550 King. Sounds like a fair price for a unique car. Hope she finds a good home soon and that you find the next addition to your collection.
They violated the classified ad policy: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/ferraris/490360-effective-12-june-2015-posting-comments-classifieds.html " All other commentary (negative comments regarding the condition or asking price, comparing asking price to current market/recent sales/other cars or items for sale, etc.) will be deleted "
Wow great specimen! Love the color combo and the extra pedal! Wish I was in position to make an offer. GLWS!
Not interested in playing games or private messages. You have offered your car for sale. You have posted two prices . . . which is it?
I will give you a third price if your truly interested, how's $180,000 sound? Since your not "interested in playing games" ball is in your court, when can I expect your wire transfer?
76 posts and someone asks you to clear up an error/confusion caused by you and you decide to get snippy? I am always interested in good cars at good prices.
What difference does 76 posts make? I've owned 6 Ferraris in the past 10 years and currently own 3. There are some people on here with thousands of posts who own 1 or don't own any at present. Does that give ME any extra privileges over those folks? Of course not. He has every right to try and weed out the serious buyers from the speculators - especially to someone who's not interested in having a direct conversation with him. IMHO I think his response was great. Kingvogue - why not consider taking it to auction?
