2001 Ferrari 550 Maranello – Red/Black - 15XXX miles

I am selling my red/black 2001 Ferrari 550 Maranello VIN: ZFFZS49A310123461. It is a US spec 550, legally imported into Canada in June 2010 with Canadian duties and taxes paid. It has a free and clear title, presently registered in Ontario, Canada. The 30k belt service was done just 7000 miles ago.
This 550 has
• Factory modular rims
• Red brake calipers
• Factory front fender shields
• Black Daytona style power leather seats
• Black carpet, and black carpeted rear shelf.
• Complete books and manuals, leather portfolios
• Complete jack/tool kits, leather portfolios
• Unused original spare tire
• Alpine iDA-X303 stereo, with USB, and Alpine remote CD changer in trunk
• Red (1) and black (2) key fobs
If it returns to the US, I believe no US duties are payable, as it was previously registered and titled in the US. (You may have applicable US sales tax).
I have owned it as the third owner for 4 years. I am an FCA member, and the car is well known here in Ontario. I travel a fair bit and the only reason for selling is I have too many cars and not enough time for them all. I’d like to offer it to fellow FChatters first, and want it to go to a good home. I reserve the right to withdraw the car, or sell it elsewhere if no interest here.
Price – seems precision is difficult to know with such a variable market for this model. Am seeking offers above US $180,000.

History summary:
Originally sold new by authorised Ferrari dealer Steve Harris Imports, Utah, in June 2001. It’s clean Carproof Report shows it as being in Florida by May 2002. It stayed in Florida, owned by the dealer principal of a Toronto auto dealership. He finally decided to sell it due to his own lack of use, and he exported it to his own dealership in Toronto Canada in June 2010. I bought it in December 2011 from his Toronto dealership.
It came with most but not all service records. I have records since 2005 showing the work performed prior to my purchase, including:
2008 July – 3 Year Major Timing Belt service (at 4968 miles, Shelton Ferrari, Fort Lauderdale)
2010 June – service, new oils, coolant, brake fluids, new left rear O2 sensor, (at 7205 miles, Shelton Ferrari, Fort Lauderdale)
I bought it at 7654 miles (12400 kms), with a excellent PPI report. A major service was carried out in March 2012, at 7937 miles to affirm its condition, and to give me a “new starting point” for planning future maintenance – I will list just the major stuff here -
2012 March (at 7937 miles)
• all fluids changed (oils, coolant, brakes, etc)
• new filters (oil, air)
• new spark plugs
• new battery
• install Scuderia Rampante silicone hose kit
• all belts changed
• new phase sensor
• Hill engineering belt tensioners installed
• Re & re intake manifold, valve covers, new cam seals and o-rings, new gaskets
• Re & re front timing cover, new inner and outer cam drive bearings,
• new 575 engine mounts installed
• new water pump
• new alarm siren
• new hood shock absorbers
2013 September (at 11167 miles)
• Replace fuse box assembly and some relays
• Emissions test (provincial requirement)
2014 April (at 11218 miles)
• Replace A/C compressor
2014 June (11242 miles)
• New tires front and rear – Continental Extreme Contact DW extra load
• Four wheel alignment
• New bonnet release handle
2015 February (at 11302 miles)
• Rebuild A/C compressor (by Polar Bear Florida)
2015 September (at 14356 miles)
• Replace clutch slave cylinder/release bearing
• Re & re torque tube and bell housing

No accidents (except removed, repaired and refitted under nose front spoiler I cracked slightly once when parking). No sticky parts. Everything works.
Things for the future owner to consider - centre climate panel (only) may have to be done in a few years. Passenger door glass may need to be realigned again. Slight leather shrinkage on dash binnacle. Driver seat bolster very lightly worn.
Otherwise, a wonderful 550 with low miles, kept in excellent condition in a heated garage.

It would seem the original suggested asking price of "offers above US $180,000" might have been a little high.

So I have decided to revise and reduce the price to US $160,000.
