360 Spider just arrived from California yesterday, after a delay at GTO Engineering to address the top. They had a guy install new elastic and he said it cycled 10x no problem.

Well I can't get it to work. It goes through the whole cycle, and the tonneau cover gets stuck on the top - the pins don't align at all, and it's scratching the underside. It doesn't look like it's seating right in the well and I can't, for the life of me, figure out what to do to make it go in. Does it come forward as well? I've never seen them in the down position so I don't even have a comparison.

Eric at GTO said push the "bar back" but I'm not even sure what he's referring to.

Yep. The middle bar, the one over your head when sitting in the car, isn't getting pulled back while the top in folding. The elastics just wear out. Just push it back while the top is folding and it should fold up just fine.

I call them rear wings but what I am speaking of are the two extensions rearwards from the convertible top. They need to fold outward and when the cable tension is not taught because the elsatic bands are wornout they fold incorrectly and that's the problem with my car. If you lower the top two thirds of the way you can get out and look at them and if they're not pulled it outward the top will not go down fully. Hope this helps.
