2002 Ducati 748 The last year of this iconic design! Im the second owner of this particular example, having bought it in 2005 with only 900 miles on it. Over the last few years Ive added a few thousand miles to it, mostly on weekend rides out in the country, bringing the total mileage to 5,667. Its never been dropped, tracked, or abused in any way. Aside from the usual bit of road rash on the radiator panel, it has hardly a mark on it, and looks almost new. Ive always kept the service up to date, and have only taken it to factory-authorized dealers, including its last full service in late 2012, which included changing all the fluids, timing belts, and of course adjusting the famous desmo valves. I have a couple of other Ducatis as well, and this one just doesnt get ridden like it deserves (Ive only put a couple hundred miles on it since that service), so its finally time to let it go to a new home. Its completely stock (including the factory monoposto tail) except for the tires (Pirelli Diablo Corsa IIIs, with about 90% of their life left) and the clutch. A couple of year ago I updated the clutch to include an updated hub, basket, plates, and slave cylinder. This setup is incredibly smooth and progressive, and is much quieter than stock while still retaining the classic dry clutch rattle. I also have a set of used Termignoni carbon-fiber slip-ons that I can include for a few hundred extra. Riding season is right around the corner! Please call or text at 301.641.1809 or PM.
