    Hi,
just wondering how much would a 2002 F1 Spider cost in Sydney.
How much are taxes to import in.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

On a second note, anyone knows on distributors for motor products in Aussie.
    Like tyres etc.

    Thanks

    about $300k

on average it looks like you can give/take ~$30k per model year.

    many thanks for the reply.
Was thinking of importing a 2002 360 from UK to Sydney,
and was just doing the math.

Was looking to for automotive distributors for some products we have and in different parts of aussie. We have an office in North Sydney currently but we are not active in the automotive business as yet. So was just asking around if anyone is in the tyre distribution, car accesories etc.

if you've owned the car for a couple years then it might pay off, otherwise most likely not.

    ^^ completely uninformed opinion fwiw

I bought my '88 7 series back into Oz in '90 , lost heaps on it and that was BEFORE I sold it !!

Now if you're bringing it back as a keeper then "maybe" the pain will be worth it but not likely

yeah that's a point i probly meant to make... as an 'import' exotic is the last one anyone will ever buy, and then at a huge discount. especially a run-of-the-mill exotic like the 360, if i can call it that.

put it this way, apart from the thousand pound Espada I was offered everything else I looked at was cheaper by the time I got back to Oz and I would have to go through hell getting it into Oz making it not worth the time or grief and then you have the resale problem where nobody will touch personal imports unless you give it to them .... my $180k car went for $25k and was 4 years old !!!

but go for it, bring a car into Oz as a personal import and see if things have changed .... don't think they have though
