F Chat, I am listing my Honda S2000 for sale. It is my favorite car I have owned but we have a new addition coming towards the end of the year so I thought I would list it now. This car will be a private sale and not through CNC (if needed I am sure we can work it out). It took me 4-6 months to find the right car so I am bummed that I am listing it. I bought it off the original owner who was retired and the car became to low for him to drive. The car is completely stock with the exception of stainless steel brake lines. The car is a 2 owner car with me being the second owner and I have a copy of the original title and service history from new. The car has never been smoked in, no paint work and has all the original vin tags. The car has never been tracked (guilty of a couple canyon runs) I just did an oem battery, spark plugs and oil change. This car is a 2002 witch is the first year they did glass for the rear window (vs plastic) and they also made the ac more powerful. This is the AP1 so it has the 9,000 rpm redline. The car comes with 2 keys, 2 remotes, valet key, original window sticker, books and service history since new. The car has a clean carfax, autocheck and title.... -The color is Sebring Silver over Black -The drivers side bolster does have some wear and a slight tear -I removed the front license plate and there are some marks on the front bumper from where the front plate rubbed (see pictures). -I have a folder made with all the services etc.... 2002 Honda S2000 35,500 Miles Asking $23,000 Here is a breakdown of the service history; 4-18-2016 w/ 35,400 Miles: OEM Spark Plugs and Oil Service 3-21-2016 w/ 35,000 Miles: OEM Battery, Stainless Steel Brake Lines and Brake Fluid Flush 1-29-2015 w/ 33,597 Miles: Oil and Filter Change and Transmission Service 2-11-2014 w/ 32,290 Miles: Replaced Serpentine Belt, New Transmission Service, Rear Differential Service, Brake Fluid Service 2-06-2014 w/ 32,234 Miles: Perform Minor Service, Oil and Filter Change 4-16-2013 w/ 30,521 Miles: New Rear Tires 2-15-2013 w/ 29,832 Miles: Oil and Filter Change, New Air Filter and New Differential Fluid 5-29-2012 w/ 27,547 Miles: Oil and Filter Change 12-19-2011 w/ 25,092 Miles: Replaced Both Rear Differential Mounts 12-10-2011 w/ 24,928 Miles: Perform Minor Service, Oil and Filter Change 5-13-2010 w/ 19,356 Miles: Oil and Filter Change 1-12-2010 w/ 17,713 Miles: Oil and Filter Change 1-06-2010 w/ 17,013 Miles: New Front Tires 5-18-2009 w/ 15,800 Miles: New Rear Tires 4-23-2009 w/ 15,536 Miles: Oil and Filter Change and Cabin Filter 1-16-2009 w/ 13,818 Miles: Oil and Filter Change 7-15-2008 w/ 9,876 Miles: Oil and Filter Change 5-03-2007 w/ 7,596 Miles: Oil and Filter Change 6-27-2006 w/ 6,350 Miles: Oil and Filter Change 4-18-2005 w/ 4,217 Miles: Oil and Filter Change and Replaced Battery 11-17-2003 w/ 2,708 Miles: Oil and Filter Change 8-27-2002 w/ 985 Miles: Reapplication of Auto Armor Please let me know if you have any questions! times getting tough Cam lol? Clearly there's no doubt that CNC is possibly one of the best used cars dealers period
wow, never knew these things appreciated so much. Still one of the best cars ever to come out of Japan.
Haha not at all. With a baby on the way it is not the best time for a two seater for me . We tried and tried then when we gave up the Mrs. surprised me with the good news. So we are super excited. Thank you, it is a blast to have all kinds of crazy cars come and go on a regular basis. Crazy how fas 4.5 years have gone by since I started!
I have had my share of manual FWD and AWD cars so a manual RWD car is awesome. Just the right amount of power and great to drive. The handling and tightness of the car for the money is top notch.
Very nice example of an original AP1. I daily drove my AP1 for 8 years before I sold it. I miss it sometimes.
Don't see too many stock, which is just the way I like 'em. Like many ads here, sucks that I don't have the free capital to buy this or I would - GLWS!!!
Yes. You certainly don't see too many Ap1's bone stock in this condition and such low miles. From personal experience, with just a few basic bolt-on power mods/tune, suspension work, and the right tone exhaust, the AP1 S2000 is one of the most visceral driver's car out there. More visceral than most exotics imho. Superb sound and mental handling. AP1 is twitchy enough to help you learn as a driver and also make it that much more enjoyable. A fast track car in the right hands. GLWS.
My son rocks one and the above statement is correct! Stock ones are rare. Tuned ones can streak like a rocket!! A hard top Factory is about $3K value.
It's no quirk IMO that an unused S2000 sits in the lobby of Foyt Enterprises. Surrounded by INdy 500 Pace Cars and racers. AJ is a Honda dealership and he put one of the first ones in the country away......
Wow, makes me wish I had bought the red '02 a neighbor was selling a few months ago for $14k. Great looking and driving car, I'll never forget the Nurburgring laps I drove in a friend's RHD version in 2003. Thought I was winding her out pretty good, then he'd tell me "you can go another 2000rpms you know"... GLWS
Congrats on the baby, Cam! I hope that it's as enjoyable, reliable, and drama-free as S2000 that it's replacing!
Thank you! I have had about about 8-9 cars and this has to be my favorite. Stick shift, light weight and RWD. I bought this to start doing track days in and try to learn how to really drive but now I think this car is to nice. I have probably driven more exotics than most and really like the steering feel and input in this car. A Porsche is out of my league and a Ferrari is way out of my league and I think this car is very exciting. I had to have a nice non mod'ed car. I had the intention of getting a hard top, removing the soft top completely to help reduce weight but I do not think I am going to. I think a OEM hardtop is almost $3,500 with after market ones starting at $1,500 for fiberglass and more for carbon fiber ones.... The NSX's have really gone up and I think these will have their time as well. Throttle is by a cable and not electronics which is one of the reasons I bought the AP1. Thank you! Thank you very much, we are excited! Thank you! Thank you very much, we are excited! It took me quite a while to find a nice car. Thank you! I heard baby's are a walk in the park We have two miniature schnauzers (Enzo and Daytona )and those little guys keep us on our toes so I am sure the baby will be a fun. Thank you, I am sure I will have some sellers remorse with this one....
These are tremendous cars, we have had our AP2 since 2005 and it never fails to put a smile on my face when I drive it. Somebody is definitely going to get a great car, good luck with your sale and congrats on the baby!
I've got an 03 that I've had since new and I absolutely love it, never once regretted buying it fantastic car. I had never heard that the A/C was bumped up in 02 but can vouch that it works great I could hang meat in mine when I have it cranked up! Congrats on the bambino!
