Looking for some general comments on the 2002 Maserati Coupe GT
The one I am looking at has 25,000+/-miles, 6speed, seems nice.

What were/are the negatives about this car?
What are the positives about this car?

What's the good, the bad, and the ugly?

    Thanks in advance

You will enjoy the car alot, especially if you get it for a reasonable price.

The stick will offer a bit of resistance going into second gear when cold.
(I never had issues with that, my Ferrari had the same 2nd gear resistance so I was able to get over it - most new bee owners may complain) After the car is warm - just make sure you are buckled up, hang on and enjoy the drive.
If the car has a nav system - just ignore it. The factory radio set up is acceptable, and can even accept upgrades - if that is your thing. My car has 15Kmiles and the brakes / rotors are still looking good, the clutch has more than 70% life still left.

I had to wiggle around and fuss with the seat adjustment to get the right feel.

But after a few years of ownership I have no negatives. Except I do get paranoid driving it in heavy traffic, I will never give it up to a valet, my new wife is the ONLY other person to drive it, and make sure you know someone who can service it regularly.

I like my car. I bought it when I thought most of the depreciation had already occurred. I think that it is worth more to me than anything I could sell it for, so I may keep it long term. Still it turns heads and is comfortable enough for a weekend getaway.

My second gear is difficult to engage from first when cold, and sometimes when hot for reasons nobody can explain, except for "it's Italian." I have learned to feel when it resists and just go to 3rd without thinking about it. Never any problems 3rd to 2nd, and this seems to be the case with some other GT owners. The transmission has been looked at by Foreign Cars Italia, Ferrari of Atlanta, Maserati of Cincinnati, and all say it is not a problem.

I would not drive it daily unless it is a short commute. Maintenance is too expensive.

I have tracked it a couple of times and had a blast..
