Wanted to see if anyone had any good input on an issue my uncle is having on a 2002 Spyder Cambiocorsa he is working on: Currently, the car starts fine, however when he puts it in gear (rev or 1st) it immediately dies. When it dies, there is no notable jerking of the vehicle. He was actually able to drive it into the shop (official Maserati service center) with no issue to diagnose an alternate issue related to the convertible top. Apparently after checking out the car and running codes, the car will no longer drive and instead dies when put in gear as stated above. They are saying it's related to the clutch life (reporting 98% worn according to the scanner), but they don't sound very confident and are having multiple techs look into it. When he purchased it, apparently there was an issue with the hood switch that was resolved. So question: Does anyone have any insight on what would cause this thing to die immediately after being put in gear without jerking. Like a sensor or something? Clutch or hood switch? Just fishing here to see what we can learn. Thank in advance!!! Kyle
