2003 360 Berlinetta in Toronto area...anyone know anything about this car?

After visiting the dealer on Saturday - a 45 minute drive from my home, having made an appointment 2 days prior, it was only when I was turning into their lot they phoned me on my cell phone to tell me the key to the car was at the dealer owner's home, and he was in Florida. The car was locked and no records were available to view.

Jeeeeeese, how disappointing!

While the sales contact was genuinely appologetic, his knowledge on the car was pretty much zero...even though he was sure the clutch had been done recently. He mentioned it had a Tubi exhaust...it didn't, it was X-ost.

Hummm...do I walk away now?

From what little information I was able to gather from the sales contact, the car was originally sold and registered to a leasing company. It changed hands at least 3 times. The owner of the dealership bought it - presumably at an auction - but possibly directly from the last owner directly.

Although the sales contact was appologetic, it was too bad I couldn't review any documentation or hear the car start up. The dealership is attempting to get their act together and will call me later this week once all the ducks are in a row.

While I'm waiting I just thought I'd pass this by everyone, mostly to see if anyone knows anthing about this car.

On the surface it may be one of those that you'd walk away from right away. Any comments are appreciated.

Well....it's been a week since I met with the sales contact and I haven't heard anything. I guess they're just not interested in selling.
