    Hi:

I am considering buying a 360 from Ferrari of New England - 2003 16K miles. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this car (vin #ZFFYU51A230134168 ). Assuming the car is in excellent condition with all services done, what do you think would be a reasonable price to pay from a certified dealership. Also, the car is in stick. Do you think this will help or hurt the value of this car? Personally, I love stick but isn't the Modena (and all models after that) F1 paddles preferred?

As always, thanks for the help!

Its really up to the buyer if they want the stick or paddles. Generally paddles are going to bring a little more money, but keep in mind when you go to sell it, there WILL be people that want a manual transmission.

I would only go for a manual 6 speed. No F1 for me thanks...
Go for what you like! And a 2003 manual 6 speed with 16k miles (depending on other options) should go for around $130-140k at a dealer IMHO.

Sticks will be preferred when these cars start to age - repairing a F1 tranny that breaks down will be expensive later-on in the car's future. More-so, I predict, than a manual tranny will - there are electro-mechanical 'bits' in there that may become obsolete in the future, and when they fail..... Unless you really 'need' that Milli-second shift timing for competitive track driving, a manual transmission is as much a part of the 'Sports Car Experience', in my opinion, as the sound of the engine. More 'traditional' drivers prefer to bond/interact with the machine - control it - and manual transmissions offer that driver interaction more-so than a F1 paddle-shift.

Manual-tranny cars are alittle rare in the 360/430 line - this market has opened-up for people who can't operate a clutch pedal. I wouldn't worry about what 'everyone else' wants in a 360/430....there will always be a market for stick-shift cars, as F1 trannys are still a novelty for Exotics-only machines. You can purchase any of the newest models with a manual transmission if the buyer desires it. FoNE will not sell you a 'storied' car, so if you're worried about the car being previously flooded, crashed, or otherwise....I wouldn't.

    Kenny,
there is 16K miles car on their web-site but it is 2000 Modena. If that's the car you are talking about I've seen it in person as she is a beauty. As far as the gear box--I think is up to a personal prefference...
    Good luck!
