GLWS. C5 RS6 Owner here. Best overall car I've owned (caveated by the well-known DRC and Torque Converter issues). Anyway, just about to do the Wagner intercoolers. What're your thoughts on them? Thanks, CW
Yeah, It’s my second and probably not my last! Transmission was replaced by previous owner, so I added the TCU update to minimize the chance of it happening again. I also installed Bilstein coil overs before settling on Koni inserts with OEM struts... The OEM set up was nice in the first year or two... after that, not so much. Wagners, one of the best upgrades IMO, tight fit, but worth the effort! Steve
I could swear some time ago I saw *somewhere* (BaT?) one of these fitted with a 6MT. Obviously not from the factory, but a great hack nonetheless. I know I am being vague but it's stuck in my mind: does anyone else remember seeing it too? And, for the sake of conversation, could a manual transmission swap be done using A6 parts from the same generation (some 2.7T cars did come equipped with the 6MT from the factory)?
Yes, 6MT swaps have been done. Don't recall the one you're referring to, specifically, but they are out there. Don't know how many conversions there might be, but, with ~1,100 C% RS6s coming to the US, there won't be many. CW
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2003-audi-rs6-90/ It takes some time and effort, but the conversion is possible. S
