More of a hint than criticism. As you've widely advertised your 575, thats great, but all your ads only have the same 3 photos. Just some advice, take 25+ really good photos, and you will make your sale a lot easier on yourself. GLWS. K
Manual? I think I see a paddle? So F1 "manual", not gated. It also comes with the rare and coveted "leather seats" and "radio" options. Nice!
Hi! May I please ask all of my new friends here to help me correctly list this car? I'm selling it for a friend who is not available at this second & I want to correct this for you here. The original info my guys gave me was: 2003 575FM1 Maranello, s/n 134152. And then: Transmission:Manual Cylinders: 12 Body type:CPE Any options: Leather seats, radio, CD player Engine: 5.7L VIN:ZFFBV55A230134152 They were asked if it was a three pedal. They answered: It is two pedal 575. (I don't actually know what that means. Perhaps it means that it's an automatic, not a manual?) Perhaps I have erroneously added the "M" due to confusions, ignorance, & attempts to match the eBay listing categories? (Not sure what the "M" significance is either. Sorry that I am at such a loss for info! Can you tell that I know nothing about cars? LOL Sorry!) On the eBay ad, it gave me a link to the AutoCheck report which calls it an "M" but not an "F1," a Maranello, & a coupe 2D. (2S is 2 door?) 2003 Ferrari 575 | eBay I have asked the guys for more photos and am awaiting a response. Photos from all sides & the interior? HAHAHA To the person who saw the driver hiding from the photo, that's funny! I did not notice. The friend thinks they aren't in the photo. HAHAHA Have a great day & thank you ahead of time for helping me! Thanks! Theresa
You need waaaay better pictures and description to sell a $165K Ferrari....hell, a Ferrari of any kind. We're a picky bunch when it comes to that ;-)
I totally agree. I am requesting photos & answers to the questions now. You have the right to be picky...just in saying the word "Ferrari" much less asking $165K! I'll get answers & pics ASAP. I promise! Thanks! Theresa
Hi! I got some answers, more photos for you, & an inspection report. Please tell me if this now answers all of your questions, causes new confusions, or helps. If there's more I can do to improve this offering, please do tell me! I have clarified a lot of info & am correcting the details here as best I can. Thank you for bearing with me! Can I please ask you if it's possible for me to edit the car's title to remove the erroneous F1? Thank you!
Hi! I believe you. I am at a loss at how to answer this then. If the report is wrong, I cannot prove any answer. I will ask for a photo of the gas & brake pedals which should prove that there is no clutch. How can I prove that it is an F1, please? Thank you ahead of time! Theresa
There are many ways. The easiest is to note that there is no gear shift lever/knob or clutch pedal. Also there are two large "paddles" right behind the steering wheel. There are also some F1 emblems someplace I bet. And there is a silver plate with a little "R" button and a tiny lever on the tunnel where the gearshift knob would otherwise go. (its a common "mistake" to say "manual" rather than F1. That's because technically both are "manual transmission". One actuated the old fashioned way with a clutch pedal and gearshift level, the other has some electronics and pumps that do all that for the driver if he/she flicks that paddle behind the wheel.) There is no doubt this car is F1.
That makes sense to me. (I won't pretend to possibly have known any of what you just said. I wasn't confused on it, just utterly ignorant. LOL) Thank you for helping me!
I feel like it will be a tough sell for the owner if the broker cannot identify a manual transmission...
Politely - do yourself a favor and drive this to a dealer and ask them to consign this for you. If you continue down this road, selling privately, you're going to have a VERY bad time. You haven't even gotten to the tire kickers and scammers yet, much less a discerning real buyer that will run as soon as they get a whiff of uncertainty.
OP mentioned selling for a friend. Teresa, the people on here are Ferrari fanatics. In an hour with the Vin # they can tell you more about that car than the current owner knows As mentioned they are detail oriented. Info on the last service annual/major is helpful. Who did it, when they did it, mileage when it was done etc is always helpful.
I must say you are a good friend. And I'm amused and impressed by you desire to assist considering you have little or no interest in the car. I"m making some BIG assumptions her. Good luck with the sale.
We can see that it is an F1....no worries!! And the license plate, and VIN, will let a lot of folks find the info on this car. Welcome, and good luck with your sale.
