It's been up for sale for a while now on and off. Not gonna get that price anytime soon...too bad sedans don't command the kinda money coupes do (at least M related stuff). EAG has a nice set of low-mileage M cars for sale, especially the E39 M5s. They usually snatch up the low mileage Ms that are at reasonable asking prices before private buyers do.

Some years ago on M5board, a user (BigGar?) was selling delivery mile Z8s, M5s, X5s, E38s, etc on behalf of a collector. Crazy prices like $40-50k for 0 mile E39 M5s. If only that collector held onto the Z8s til now.

I'm curious as to how much the new F10 M5 30th anniversary edition will go for in 10 years time. Only 30 coming to the US and an Fchatter will be getting one (he can post it if he wants to, but I won't say who it is). That one should keep its value more than a 'regular' M5 over the long run. Especially since it will have 600hp. ;)

How does the car culture run in Kuwait? Do people treat their cars well, or are they little more than status/fashion symbols that get abused?

    It runs the full spectrum...

There are those that baby their cars, and those that drive the crap out of them...

So, you have to know what you're looking at.

59k is ridiculous. You could buy three and drive each one until the wheels fall off and still have a better price...

    1. Prices in Kuwait are meaningless when comparing to U.S. (and vice versa).
    2. 2006 is an E60, very different than an E39 (2000-2003 in the U.S).'
    3. $59k is the asking price. Car can do close to $40k if the seller holds out long enough IMHO.
    4. in 11 years, car was driven 6000 miles or less than 600 miles per year. What's the point of owning the car if you are not going to drive it? (and I say that on a Ferrari board!LOL).

    Regards,
    Jerry

No one cares about the newer e60.

The avid m5 buyer wants the e39 even if it is older.
