I am putting my 2003 Murcielago for sale as I am ordering a new one and would rather try and retail it myself before I have to trade it in on wholesale to a dealer, especially since there are a lot of extras. The car is black/black six speed with 5000 miles. The car is still under lamborghini warranty. The car has custom maya rims, a K40 undetectable front and rear radar, and a custom alpine audio system $25,000+. The car is offered at $239,999 but I am flexible for someone from ferrarichat or a couple degrees of separation. questions, comments, or more pics let me know. thanks.

I think you are priced way to high for a 03. You never get much money back for extras. My friend has a pearl yellow 03 Murci with 4000miles. The Lambo dealer offered $190K on a trade in. I do not know if he will do the deal. I have seen 04's with less than 4000 miles here in Florida recently priced at $230K. In a few months the 06 will be out and your car will be another year older. Get your best deal now as it will only go lower. The 06 Murci is rumored to have 600 HP. Good Luck.

190-205 is wholesale for the car. they are still retailing for 220-235. that is why i am trying to sell now and not wait for my car to come in sept. i will never get extras back from a dealer, that i know, but if i can get a little more from a consumer who will get a lot more.... that is where i am at

So that others can better understand, you're selling your MY03 Murcielago to get a MY06 Murcielago?

Till when is the warranty valid?

    Pics of the stereo?

Who's done the servicing to date? Any issues?

Do you have the stock wheels?

aj, i have been following the murci market very closely , the supposed retail prices are what the dealers ask, and no one smart pays anywhere near that price...the ebay buy it now prices tend to be wishing thinking by the seller and with a world wide audience they are hoping someone bites......i would think with cash in hand, a 03 murci can be had for 205 -210, which is 10-15k above wholesale....

It's funny how those treads come down to owners Vs buyers, owners like the prices to stay high, buyers looking for bargains. The Murcie market is a very small and is effected by every deal or ebay listing therfore can be easly manipulated, I'd say let's us Murcie owners unite and take over the retail value :) of the Murcie.
In other words let's not sell under $235k no mater what. :D

The funny questions is.... who wants to be holding the Murcie when the warrenty expires, and the new higher HP car comes out?

People that can afford to buy Murcie's as toys, will surely want the newest better toy. Wouldn't a lot of 2003, 2004's go up for sale all at once? Unlike Ferrari we have no restriction on supply, everyone that wants a 2006 will be able to buy one?

Seems a 2003 is worth $190k if you wait one more year till 06/06/06 to sell or buy it.

( of course that's not taking into account the extras on this seller's car )

2006 model has little to do with it. When you buy a new Murcie you dont care about the $50K hit you´ll take the 1,000 miles. When you buy preowned you do... I sure did. Saved $45K on a car < 1 year old with 740 miles. Crazy. The cars are over-priced at MSRP... from a resale value prospective.

A 2003 Murc with 5K - 10k miles, without any issues, is worth $205K - $215K retail. Extras are usually a loss to the seller (when I am the buyer they are) but you just might find someone who loves the car with those wheels and hates stock.

Your car looks really nice but you shouldnt expect to get much more than $215,000 retail. Depends on how motivated of a seller you are I suppose.

    Good luck!

a friend of mine recently had his 03 murci on consignment at a lambo dealership..the car had 2k miles, with a special 10k factory paint job that was out of this world, with a high end upgraded dvd based stereo and special wheels..the car was stunning...they were asking 225k, he would have taken 215k but most of the offers were closer to 200k so he took it off the market after 6months....

Something was wrong with his car or you have the details wrong.

My 2003, black, stock, with 6500 miles sold, on consignment, for asking ($225k) in 13 days back in late Feb. Several other recent examples as well.

    Lambo resale = very strong
